39 weeks and 6 days down for us here and up last between 1am and 3am for what appeared to be a bit of uterine neuromuscular training!
Get the general impression that things may kick off sooner rather than later, but I could of course be completely wrong . . . probably won't stray too far on my run this afternoon though

20 week scan for us on Friday.
Managed to convince her I don't need to get rid of my VX220 too ha
Hope it all goes well.Managed to convince her I don't need to get rid of my VX220 too ha
My wife had hers today - baby is doing well and obligingly let us see it is a boy.
Well done on the car front. I was happy that we can fit our chosen buggy in the back of my wife's 100HP without drama - I would have been more gutted than her if we had to get rid of it!
A bit late reporting back on here but first day back in work today so only just got a little bit of spare time!
Our daugter Zara was born at 12.28am on the 8th April at a healthy 7lb 8.5oz.
She's absolutely perfect but the labour was a nightmare. To cut a long story short the planned water birth didn't happen and after a horrendous 27 hour labour she was eventually born by c section. She was out in about 30 mins but my wife's uterus tore quite badly so we ended up in theatre for over 3.5 hours.
The first 5 or 6 days were really hard with my wife in a lot of pain but she's doing really well now and we are both besotted with our new daughter.
Easily the most stressful day of our lives but the end result is what counts, a healthy baby.
Looking forward to getting to know her now.

I hate colic..... beem trying to put my little one down for the past 5 hours.......
From experience get it checked for reflux drs health visitors etc can end up going for the easy answer of colic rather than reflux. Is the little one feeding reasonably easy? Is it growing OK?As above, make sure it's not reflux.
Are they throwing their head around, arching their back etc? If so, it's more likely reflux and it can be solved.
We had it with our little boy and it was awful. Switching his milk was an almost immediate change and he wasn't in pain anymore bless him.

Yes I know she will eventually. She has slept for 5 hours once and it felt like having a holiday for us
I can't really complain as she's really good and goes back to sleep pretty quickly after being fed, winded and changed.
The biggest problem is that in the day she wil only sleep if she's on the wife. Put her in the moses basket and she just wakes up and cries. Makes it difficult for my wife to sleep of get anything else done.

Try and in between position first. To go from vertical, with mums bodyheat to. Horizontal, with no bodyheat might be too much. Try holding her horizontal first. Then slowly letting down and quickly covering with a blanket. She may miss the smell of her mum too. Have you tried using her mums pillowcase as a moses basket sheet??I can't really complain as she's really good and goes back to sleep pretty quickly after being fed, winded and changed.

We are 4 months in with our twins one of each and we have a 4 year old girl.
They are pretty easy to be honest. I was absolutely dreading them coming as our first girl was a complete nightmare with her sleep. She was 12 months before she was anywhere near sleeping through. Anyway I think a combination of us being more relaxed parents and the fact that the twins have eachother as a bit of comfort have resulted in already getting a solid 7 hours out of them in their first stint on a night. Routine already well established going down at 7.00 they usually get up at bang on 2 for a feed, then 6 and sometimes they will give mummy a couple of bonus hours til 8 or half past. Mum still breast feeding (amazing woman!) bonus is she has lost loads of weight and is looking fiiiiiine! well below pre pregnancy weight heading towards being sub 9 stone which is good for me as a purveyor of the more slender woman.
Why they dont promote this more to women is beyond me. Hardly any of them seem to breast feed. No bottles to mess about with and the added bonus that we cant get too involved everyones a winner.
Just need to sort eldest girl out now as shes become an attention seeking lunatic since the twins came!
