I'm against using BMI as muscle weighs more than fat and could disadvantage those building muscle. I think that inches and lbs lost (both part of calculation) might give a more accurate indication of greatest loss of body fat. Just my opinion though. I may be wrong as I am no expert but that is what Rosemary Conley used in her programme on Central TV last year. I'm not taking part, just think that this is a great idea and would like to offer encouragement and advice where I can smile
You don't need to take part anyway laugh

It's just for us fat knackers wink

Am begining to get confused.....I only want to lose some more weight, not spend all bloody day on the computer working out how to put up my results

You shouldn't have to - If you want to post BMI, measurements and all that then by all means do so - I probably will.

Just state what you want to achieve in your thread, and then work out a little bit of a plan, maybe ask for advice and then go for it and let us know the results. You don't HAVE to post quantifiable measurements - It could just be that you enjoy feeling fitter / not wheezing when tying up a shoe or whatever smile

Right I've decided to take some action and get the ball rolling, I've taken the liberty of registering phatphighters.co.uk and will spend the next few days knocking up a private website for our profiles.
I only want to host the profiles not the general discussion/encouragement, that can stay firmly firmly here on pistonheads either in this thread or in a seperate forum if one is provided.

What I aim to provide is password protected site that will allow us to link to our profiles, showing pics and allow people to keep track of there measurements and weight. It might not be pretty, but it will be functional and of course free. I'll limit sign up to people who are have expressed an interest in this weight loss/fitness thread, so things can be kept private amongst ourselves.

How does this sound? Is it a good idea, or have I just wasted a fiver on the domain.
Ideas welcome, but I don't want to over complicate it too much.

It's a no-go on the PH forum.

Can you host a discussion forum on the site?

I fell off the wagon big style tonight.

It was all going so well with steamed salmon and veg (ver delicious) and then the chocolate hit me when I found out the shear amount of stuff I needed to do....

I've been really good all week, but SWMBO left a box of milk tray on my coffee table - It's only there to tempt me hehe

There's a bet see... If I'm good all week, I get treated to a stockings and suspenders evening. Trouble is, If I have a takeaway, it's me that has to wear the stockings and suspenders laugh

I'm being good hehe

I need to get fit immediately. cry Went to London last night and the descending escalator at Picadilly Circus was not working, everyone had to walk down the stairs, my thighs are caning today, if it had been the ascending one, no doubt I would be bedridden for a few days.
