Over night oats and blueberries with a cinnamon topping is a great way to start the day.

If it’s still ok I’d like to be added on too.

Current 95.8. Target 88.0

Years ago I had a pt & that’s where I finished & was happy so seems a sensible target.

Big thing for me is to get moving & improve fitness, don’t like being out of breath if I have to walk up a steep bit.
(2021 averaged about 4,000 steps a day per my phone), missed two ski holidays so def need to make the most of the next one!

What do you want me to say?

You're all lard arses. You need to cut down on the carbs and do more exercise.

All this talk of granola. It's bloody rabbit food. You would do better with slow release stuff. I'd rather eat a slice of toast with nothing on it.

Anyway, what's the plan for today fatties?

I'm going to lie upside down in the footwell of my Chimaera to see how to take off the dash top. And then, for dinner tonight, two butcher's burgers with two fried eggs and a very small portion of chips. Or perhaps no chips at all.

I will drink lots of fluids today too. In fact every day.

So, lardies, what's the plan?

Just got back from an hours walk. Lower back is achey and shins/thighs are achey as well. More than likely due to the fact if not really moving a lot prior to this.

Just having two slices of toast with some butter on and a cup of coffee. Apparently will be out shopping today as well as we didn't manage it yesterday lol

Back to work tommorow so 8 hours of sitting on the sofa in front of my laptop, on plus side I start a new role on the 19th in another department so I've got some to look forward to smile

Nope, no sitting on the sofa. Bad for your posture. And get off your fat arse a few times and get breathless through the day. Run up and down the stairs a few times.

My mother is coming up in a bit doing a bit of healthy cooking and food planning for this week as I'm back in work (she's a cookso does help) then off for a walk if it stays dry for a hour or so.
Back in work this week do a physical job and been off for a month so should be good then planning on joining a gym or taking up swimming again see how things pans out. Done food shop already and cut out pretty much all crap so no fizzy drinks no sweets etc and more fruit than I usual eat.

Best thing I've found to keep me full till lunch is 2 eggs poached on a piece of granary toast.

Excellent!

Limited carbs and filling. Rest of you, take note!

Three eggs are fine, just not every day!

I eat 2 eggs daily.

As for cereal of any kind and porridge oats, I've never been a fan, don't like milk either, I did try porridge but it never filled me up, I'm sticking to the eggs and toast.

You need some carbs.

Just avoid processed or fried carbs - white bread, chips, crisps, white rice etc anything carbs with high starch is to be avoided.

Granary bread, oats, barley, sweet potato, nuts and most vegetables are fine.

You are better off eating say 500-1000 calories of carbs a day and feeling fuller, than switching to all berries n’st and then smashing half a packet of biscuits at 11pm because you are starving.

Don’t switch everything all at once, you didn’t become a massive bloated porker in a few days, it takes a while … losing it is the same. This week do one or two things, then next week another one (as well).

This week I am walking 5km a day, not eating crisps or drinking alcohol. That’s a good start, next week I will add something else.

Went to the shop for lunch today and managed to keep away from the big bars of chocolate and replace them with some graze nuts. Think I do enough exercise so things like this "should" make the difference. Be interesting to see what scales say on Saturday.

I started off in style with an ambulance ride to A&E; how's that for an opening gambit? Came home dosed up with morphine hippy

The thing is, I've no idea what I did to cause the extreme pain in my right hip (8 on a scale of 1-10). I'd been sitting down, stood up and took two paces then 'wallop', a searing pain the like of which I've never experienced before. That was New Year's Day, before I signed up for this little escapade but hey-ho, I'm in for the duration, dicky hip or not.

Let the fun begin!

Can you add me too please?!

Current weight - 82kg

Would like to get down to 76kg in the next few months. Going to keep off the white bread and sugary snacks.

Walked for 45 minutes earlier and playing football tomorrow night.

Ouch - sounds bad, did you get a diagnosis or just pain relief ?

I've been experimenting with skipping breakfast in a vaguely 16:8 hour intermittent fasting kinda way. I find it easier than trying small breakfast and bizarrely leaves me less hungry at lunchtime. My main method though is portion control in the evening and avoiding snacks. And reducing the booze is an easy calorie win.

But not today... Friends over last night so ate and drank way too much and needed a bacon sandwich this morning. However soup and some fruit for lunch and tonight will be roast salmon and double broccoli.

Good man Bill, like your thinking.

Riley old chap, just take it easy. This isn't a sprint, we've got months. Hope the dodgy hip improves.

For anyone interested, I too am taking the fasting approach. This morning/lunchtime I removed the dash top in my Chimaera. The sensible advice is to lie on your back with your head in the footwell. Nah, I decided 20 minutes of reverse plank would be good. yikes

On my shoulders in the driver's footwell, straight back, feet planted on the driveway. Reaching up inside the dash for a 10mm nut. Safe to say, my upper body strength isn't what I thought it was and I ache from neck to waist! Job done though!

That's great, the best way to lose weight is finding what works best for you wether that be diet or exercise and enjoying it enough to stick with it forever.
