Good luck. Your lungs will thank you for it, and having seen someone die over a period of years due to smoking, it's a good thing to stop.

Well it's been 18 hours since my last smoke and although I'm gasping for a tab, I'm not as bad as I thought I would be smile
However, my crewmate today is a smoker, and, in a non-gay way, I want to sit here sniffing him

Well tonight is my last night as a smoker. I've just had my last ever ciggie, and I've given the rest of my tabs to the missus.
I've been on Champix now for 10 days and I feel ready to do this.

So, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls; please wish me luck and pray that my shift tomorrow is easy and stress free.

Many thanks smile
Good for you, just remember, one day at a time is how to do this. I did the same, by cold turkey, last november, and i still crave a cigarette every day, but i get through that, and just go one day at a time. thumbup

good for you smile

I gave up about 2 months ago and despite getting a stern word a few times when I've wanted one (I told Mr10PS to shout at me if I moaned) it's been surprisingly easy.

Good luck and keep it up smile

Good luck.
I chucked the last packet away four years ago after twenty years.
It's all in the mind.

You need to condition yourself to ignore the cravings. When they get really bad, give yourself a distraction, like walking round the garden - even if it's raining.

Good luck, I'm not a smoker or have ever been, detest the stink an the thought of setting fire to my money does not compute.
Helpful comment, I assume you put petrol in your car?

Good Luck - it is worth the effort
I packed in 16 years ago - stopped overnight
after a while I could taste food again
house did not stink and walls were not magnolia colour.

Unfortunately I do put petrol in the car, however this is mildly easier to take as I don't have a choice if I want to get around

Please tell me the missus destroyed the left-over tabs? If she's a smoker, your odds are poor!

Good luck smile
She is a smoker, but she is one of these really annoying types who can just stop smoking for months at a time; whereas I'm just a nicotine junkie!
Plus, if she does carry on smoking she'll be banished from the house and car whilst tabbing lol
Your girlfriend is very annoying for smoking. She just has not got the nerve to completeley give up smoking, that's why she gives up for a month and then starts again.

Smoking is all in the mind.I used to eat cigs like sweeties but once I had sorted out my head it was very easy to pack in smoking. It really is easy,we just choose to make it difficult and stressfull.

I've been clean for 5 years this December and there is no fking chance of me smoking again.

Yesterday went well. We were so busy I didn't get any time to crave a fag (mind you I didn't get time for a break, a piss stop, a st, or any food either)
Today I'm in nights so we shall see how things work out. I'm confident though smile
