A cheaper alternative may be:

A GTR road bike and some good roads huge descends... melts the stress away. smile
I prefer my version... smile

So do I. Also I wouldn't harm an old lady (My Mum never got the chance to be one) in fact I don't really think I could actually harm ayone, even the sh!i scum half-relative who has caused this - but thanks smile

ETA no he didn't kill my Mum but what he's done probably would have, had she still been with us. Best left to the imagination

Kneck punching.

Failing that lots of energetic running and cycling.

(and while I run and cycle the solution to whatever problem I am having often just presents itself to me).

Thanks for moving this.

Looks like I need to get my bike fixed. The pedals are shafted (old bearings knackered and I can not remove them!) - mind you is there anywhere I can buy something sharp suitable for attaching to the wheel hubs evil

Does that help with stress or is it just something you like doing? wink

Well, I stop when I get home. Still waiting for the AA to rescue my car, though.

OP. Clean everything. Go through your house/flat/bedsit. Wash your bedsheets/clothes/curtains/washing up. Scrub the floors and Hoover. Do the lawn, trim the hedge. Afterwards, make the bed, plump the cushions, make everything look perfect in your house. sweat your bks off doing it.When finished, have a proper deep soak bath. Read a book in there (something war'ed up like Tail End Charly) have a 'Man grooming session'....have a glass of wine and survey the utter perfection around you.

Then, get a (female) friend to take you for a drive and a natter(they are good at this) put porn on the iPhone and have a giggle walking around Ikea. Pretend you are 17 again.

Have childish fun for no reason and delight at the Sun.......someone on here said,'Demons are afraid of the dark', it is very true!

However, don't lick the sticky finger that she sticks in your face in the middle of Ikea.....gets funny looks, that does hehe

Seriously, no.

As someone who was and is no longer stressed, my experience is mostly that a good boss, who you can trust, and who respects your views and values, is the only way to reduction in stress. so if you have a boss who is useless, untrustworthy, bullying, obnoxious, treats you like a moron, then you have 2 options : Say fk it, and carry on as you see fit ignoring anything he throws at you, or you move on, and explain to HR why you are moving on.

Oh and sex is a good way to reduce stress.

Agreed.... But if the boss is also the female friend in question and wants to be 17 again and you both respect each other?

Alternatively, get a couple of 'pills' and go ice skating......now that's relaxing!

When I get really stressed I head to the coast. Watching the waves is something I find very relaxing. Stress melts away as you look out over the ocean and remember how insignificant we are.

I've just spent 4 days walking Coastal paths & beaches in Cornwall, and having been told I have MS this morning, I can honestly say I am not overly stressed about it.

Fresh air and exercise really does work wonders

Wouldn't advise that. I had one nearly 3 years ago and the constant worry that it'll happen again is stressing me out.

Exercise, specifically running, sorts my head out. It gives me time to think away from the distractions of TV/internet/phone/family/friends. Plus I get the endorphin high afterwards thumbup
Another vote for running here. Anything over half an hour with some music on the go is good. Was having a stressful time in my new job a few weeks back- taken up running again (3.5 miles 3X a week) and feeling back to being positive me again.
