A former colleague did a couple of years of med school (it would have been mid-late 90s I think) and he mentioned the cadavers they worked with had been used several times for different reasons. They are certainly not wasted, and he mentioned there were strict rules regarding dignity/respect.

the ex was at med school, they hold a big service at the end with the families etc. Very moving im told.
