I'll buy myself a blue one piece swimming costume...I do like the idea of a skirt, but that might be a bit too vintage.
My current swimsuit is a one piece but with the sides open loosely attached by a few coloured bows ( which is holiday wear rather than proper swimwear).

It's what I use to avoid looking incredibly fat in the gym.
Skirted or shorts-style swim suits seem popular amongst the 'serious' swimmers at my pool.
