Hope you get better soon OP.

If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you? Being 28 and fairly fit / rarely ill I thought nothing of this a few weeks ago... but with the media reporting younger and younger deaths, it’s starting to concern me a little more.

I’m 51. Pretty healthy normally if not massively fit.

It properly knocks the stuffing out of you

This is something that's been puzzling me - if people get this and are asymptomatic, why is this? What is it about these people that they can get the virus yet show none of the symptoms. Is is down to viral load or something else?

Hope you see an improvement overnight.

Like a lot of folk, I assumed I’d had it already - I hadn’t and started with proper symptoms 15days ago, only now am I starting to get back to normal. At the peak, I spent 6 days in bed and have never felt so ill - complete lack of energy and sleep deprivation had me really confused/spaced out. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone. God speed.

I hope you get better OP - hang in there.

Now you have been admitted to hospital, have they tested you for CV19?

Morning all

Didn’t really sleep much - too much noise and lights, but eaten breakfast

They’re taken me off oxygen to see how I cope, presumably to see whether I can manage at home.

I’ve not had the swab for COVID but possibly there’s a blood test instead?

Thanks . Waiting. To find out..

Terrible sleep last night but the man in the bed next me who was shouting the nurses all night has been transferred which should help. He was totally out of order!

Studies have shown that Paracetamol can exacerbate, prolong and cause other problems. Try, if you can, to let your body respond naturally, get hot, kill the bug and increase immune response.

This is directly against NHS/111 advice.

All the best to you OP, sounds awful. My partner is on day 14 and is still suffering night sweats and heavy fatigue, it really hangs about.

595 could I ask if you had any other symptoms?

I seem to have similar to you, with a few other odd ones:

- headache
- occasional dry cough
- tiredness
- snotty noise (with blood as you described)
- temperature (38.5 so nothing major)
- occasional burning in chest/throat

And odd things - tinnitus/ringing in my ears for a couple of days, odd taste/smells.

No, that about covers it I think. The temperature and lack of energy does strange things to your thinking and I was getting confused with stuff particularly overnight.

Lol, not Boris, more like a Red Robbie character who has been used to being at the centre of attention.

Shouting for ages, then wanting a cup of tea, even though he’d not touched the last two they’d made, or wanting to know the time, or could he talk to his wife. She must be loving the peace!!

Nope sadly, 45 parts on order from Germany. Not really bothered with everything going on. I have Sept as a date in mind, anything before that is a bonus...

That’s a shame but as you say it doesn’t matter much right now.

We were due to do our Euro road trip in Early June but that won’t happen either. No worries. The Alps ain’t going anywhere smile

Best of luck with your recovery, I’m hopeful I’ll avoid hospital, but in the absence of a test it sounds like if yours comes back positive then I probably am too.
