I have no idea about any of this but it would probably be best to get it checked out if people are saying it could be a fracture. NHS direct will never be 100% right 100% of the time, PH on the other hand...
For them to be right 5% of the time would impress me, all they have is a set of checklists and the potential to refer you onto a nurse.

I hope you went to the A&E or at least a minor injuries unit at your local hospital.. ignoring a major sign of skull fracture following a heavy blow to the head doesn't seem a good idea to me!

Jesus, I hope they got to the hospital quick. Hope it was mucous and not CSF...

That's 8 hours of my life wasted in A&E. Grandson wasn't happy as we where late for his birthday.

They said if it had been cerebrospinal fluid it would have also come out of my ears and I wouldn't be talking to them right now. Most likely drained my sinus, as I thought. Its the last time I listen you lot, you bunch of hypochondriacs wink

Not exactly, just said everyone I spoke to did.

They where very busy, ambulances where constantly arriving. Mostly kids or old people. One cyclist cut his finger, older couple whose son crashed his motorbike and one guy getting a ear bashing from his wife for falling off the shed roof rofl

I bet if it wasn't that busy I they would have probably done an x-ray to be sure.

I've had that straw coloured stuff come out of my hooter without clobbering myself on the nut like you did. I'm no doc but that's happened once maybe twice, the last one was a good while back and I don't seem to be any worse off now. Sometimes you get it just by tipping your head forwards a bit too much like when you're washing your hair with a handheld shower or doin your bootlaces up at a funny angle. The worst thing of course is doin your bootlaces up in the shower.
I got it once after sneezing, not even a particularly hard sneeze. Was quite worrying really, thinking my brain was leaking, but I just went back to bed hehe

Sticks.

FWIW I had a csf leak following a head injury. I was only allowed out of hosp on the condition that I would return for surgery, not be immersed in water and if I got any of the symptoms of meningitis, I'd call them immediately.

While I was waiting for surgery the leak stopped and so I asked the surgeon if surgery was still really necessary now I had no symptoms. He said 'we used to think that, but when we checked back over those we'd not operated on in the last 10 years, most of them had died.'

I kid you not.

Btw, none came out of my ears.

Have you considered marketing this as a sinus clearing exercise..?
