"Mmmm steak and kidney pies!" *glances at A4 laminated picture of Daniel Craig exiting the sea* "I bet he doesn't eat steak and kidney pies... beetroot salad, it is... why is everyone staring at me?"
Get a second one with Rick Waller, and the decision will be even easier.

  • For the record, i have never carried 1 picture, let alone 2, i'm just being creative*
We weren't accusing you of anything but there is a lot of denial in your reply...

Two purchases that made a big difference to my (cardio) training were a Heart Rate Monitor (Polar) and a decent MP3 player with some quality music/playlists to help energise you etc.

I started doing classes at my gym and found that helped, having someone encouraging you.
Doing spin and boxercise, spin might be good if you like cycling but don't fancy the cld, although I realise it's hardly the same with a decent instructor it can be fun.

The best motivator for me has been having someone else go at the same times. In my case my dad!!

We go three times a week and generally say hi/bye but don't work out together, different machines/times/goals but just having to give a good reason for not attending next time is enough to get you off your arse and down the gym

The second best motivator is the clothes off mirror test - take photos every few weeks and the change is noticeable, from day to day you won't notice how different you look...

Why don't you start a training diary on here? Might help, no need to put pictures (unless you are female) might be good to track your improvements and a reason to keep going.

For me my ipod is key. Without my ipod I cant/wont go.

Stick you ipod on loud with some good music and before you know if you've worked out for an hour
