Sorry to say it but you'll have to get used to constant blockers along the way. Some people treat it like they are handling anthrax spores in a vial or an atomic weapon. My docs (NHS GP) refuse to assist me with anything. When I was on Nebido, the GP refused to do the injection as "This is extremely dangerous stuff and you may have a heart attack in the practice!"

Whole outlook from the NHS is downright pathetic. A lot of the time ive learnt not to mention it when filling out questionnaires for anything as the second you mention it, panic sets in!
Yep, that's sounding very familiar!

Yep, 40-50mg is about normal. 40mg is 2 pumps on the bottle. Testogel used to come in 50mg sachets (30 sachets per box) so 1 a day was standard. Now the equivalent dose with the bottle is about 2 and a half pumps for 50mg.

Can take a while for some people to start feeling the benefits and some people will need to increase the dose after 6 months or so if it's not having the desired outcome.
Thank you!

After a long long wait of over a year since referral and then having to pay for a private endocrinologist as I didn't want to wait anymore to write to my GP to administer TRT looks like I'll be getting it on the NHS. I had the choice of the gel or Nebido. Applying the gel daily and having to wait for it to dry seems like a massive ball ache so I opted for the Nebido once every 3 month injection protocol.

Reading some negative comments on Nebido saying after week 8 you feel like crap again until your next injection. Anyone have experience of Nebido?

I’d be very surprised if you get 8 weeks of benefit from the injection, I certainly didn’t.

The gel was better, but the treatments from the private clinics is far superior to both.

Can I ask how much you pay and from where from your private clinic? I keep reading the same avoid NHS but private seems expensive.
