Due to fertility reasons I have been prescribed Anastrozole (it's used mainly for breast cancer patients) by my private doctor. My T levels have gone from 6 (should be between 8-20) to over 18 in little over a month of usage. Pretty incredible really given my prescription cost not much more then a tenner for 3 months...however I'm not sure of the long term affects of these tablets as heard they severely lower your estrogen so won't be taking for more then 6 months but very impressive T results

Did your doctor tell you your E2 levels as well? Anastazole is certainly a drug that you need to monitor. Trashing estrogen levels is easily done and takes a while to recover from.

About three days with dianabol.

272 BHP is quite right, anastrozole is a very strong AI and needs treating with respect. 6 months??!? Too little estrogen is just as unpleasant as too little test. Exemestane (aromasin) is said to be a better choice.

About 10 years ago I had severe mumps meaning recently I have found out I produce no sperm which was obviously devastating when I found this out. My FSH is 56 (average should be between 1-12) and my testostrone was only 6. NHS have offered zero help as expected so I went to see the world's leading male fertility uroligist in London. Because I had sperm before the mumps there is a chance I could reproduce sperm again by blocking my estrogen to increase my T. I will take a sperm analysis in the next few weeks and hopefully I will have some sperm again to freeze if not then an operation is required to get the sperm from the testes directly. There are many cases I've read where Anastrozole has been successful for the need I require, hence why I was planning to take them for up to 6 months. The fact my T has trebled in a month means they are doing something.

It sounds as though you are in good hands - it would certainly be interesting to hear how you get on long term with this if you are willing to share.

Wishing you the best of luck.

For what reason are you taking the test?

If you want to see if you have issues with low testosterone then the Male Hormone Blood Test with 10 markers at 79.99 is the cheapest I would consider but it would have to be a veinous draw.

Maybe wait for some decent discounts before purchasing.

Could be lots of other things causing those symptoms but certainly no harm in ruling things out and gaining information in the process.

For the purposes of investigating potential low testosterone the one I mentioned earlier is fine but a veinous draw is a must.

Yeah age and your general health. New relationship could also be a mental thing.

I’m 41, had been single for 10 years prior to this unexpected relationship. I’d resigned myself to dying alone many years ago. In those 10 years I had zero female contact (physical).
Admittedly I had been very depressed during that time as I was diagnosed with a type of arthritis which robbed me of doing anything physical over a period of 4 months (lived for running), I contemplated suicide numerous times.
I shut myself away from anyone (even my family) for almost 2 years, I didn’t go out for anything other than food shopping.

I thought I was suffering with ‘death grip’ as I feel like I’ve lost sensation down there.
I quit pr0n and masturbating almost 2 months ago in a bid to see if that helped regain some sensation down there.
I went to docs and he gave me viagra, but my partner really doesn’t want me taking it as she’s pretty anti tablets for anything.
I suppose if this goes on much longer she’ll have no choice but to let me take them as this is killing me atm, I don’t feel like a man anymore.

I had high blood pressure for a few years but have now lost 5st which has almost brought it back to normal levels now. I take 2.5mg of Ramipril per day for that. I also have a rare type of arthritis similar to Rheumatoid arthritis which I take a weekly injection for.
Doctor assured me that ED was not one of the side effects of that drug.

I do yoga a few times a week and weight train 2-3 times a week plus I walk 15-30k steps a day, I’m probably still 1.5st overweight but nothing like I was.

It could well be in my head, I’ve requested a session with a sex councillor at Relate, just waiting for the appointment to come through.
I seem to have no problem achieving but in maintaining an erection, it’s the second I think about losing it and I do.

I have used viagra once and it was complete reversal, like I was 18 again.
I rarely wake up with morning glory if that’s relevant at all.

Sorry you’ve had a tough time frown

As far as Ramipril is concerned, that could be be part of the problem, you say you were depressed, did you have any medication for this, this would affect it.

Being overweight is a known factor for reducing testosterone levels, but as you say you’re not as heavy as you were.

There are a lot of clinics around, I found a lot of their lead times to get an appointment were a bit on the long side, and once you’ve decided to do something, you want it to happen asap.

I use this company https://www.cja-balance.co.uk/

Thank you.

I never took any medication for a long time for the depression, I took Sertaline for 4 days (gave up as I felt artificially happy and high as a kite), and that was it.

The doctor told me the ramipril should actually help with the ED…

In terms of fertility I will find out in the next few weeks if my sperm has returned if not then it will be an expensive Microtese operation....in terms of energy then yeah guess I do feel more awake / less tired. I've never suffered with depression or anything like that before so not sure if I feel any better or not....only side effect I've had taking Anastrozole was a big rash on my feet / toes but that soon went.
