Well Junior GMan has not made an appearance yet and is now 11 days overdue!

Mrs GMan scheduled to be induced later tomorrow, but things seem to be moving tonight a bit more, with contractions being more regular but still erratic. Fingers and toes crossed things happen tonight!

Just seen this thread.

My wife is expecting on 4th September, the day after my 40th birthday! This will be number six for us. Normally we don't want to know the gender beforehand but at the last scan my wife saw a very clear set of lips between the legs so I guess, if all goes well, it will be 4-2 to the girls in my house come the Autumn.

Running out of names!

Well it appears it wasn't to be, my wife saw some blood whilst wiping on Sunday, went to A&E and was told not to worry but booked her in for an early scan today.

It appeared that foetus was only 6mm at nearly 9 weeks. Got to wait for another scan in 10 days but it doesn't seem this was our time.

I am, took the rest of the day off and had a good cry with her. She's ok but I know the hard bit is yet to come.

Sorry to hear this. :,( It's not a nice thing to go through, be there for her in the coming weeks. The hardest part is informing those who know when they are expecting a good news update. This is one of the reasons we waited to be sure before telling anyone.

Think of the fun to be had trying again wink

Can someone explain to me this whole "no buggy inside the house before is born"?

I think I've encountered my first "mental"....

Well its very much in keeping with the poor chap aboves experience mate.

If you and your other half are unfortunate enough to have a failed pregnancy then really a house full of baby stuff is tge last thing you'll need.

People dress it up as superstition but this is the real reason.

Yeah I can see that not helping. Unfortunately courtesy of the in-laws we already have a room full "stuff".

I just really hate superstitions!

Bit of a turn-up for the books in our house hold. Despite our 3 year old twins taking 5 years and 3 rounds of IVF to concieve, it seems we can do it the normal way too! After 9 months of not really trying baby number 3 is on his/her way. Dating scan next week will say whether it should be in this thread or the next, our workings out put the due date at the 28th December!

We experienced a still birth at 25 weeks last years, friends went through the same at 26 weeks (at the same time), and other friends had a death during planned delivery a fortnight later. These were all baby No 2 so still a shock. other friends had the neonatal death for there first child and had to return to the painted nursery, cot, buggy etc.

Heart breaking and the final straw. I think the stuff we bought prior to No 1 was kept at the grandparents house just in case.

Remember that still births are 1:200.

Anyway our 24wk scan for No 3 went well last week, all blood flows were fine with mum and baby. We also make the decision to find out it was a boy.

Posts like the one above make you think hard! We are 14 weeks and this is our first.

My Wife's sickness has subsided and she seems more spritely. Seems to be 'showing' more by the day.

I can't quite believe I'm at this stage of my life already.

Due 20th December so my christmas and New Year will be a whole lot different to how they are normally.

I'm very much looking forward to being a Dad.

Good luck all!
