50 and double jabbed + booster
Felt a slight sore throat and fizzy tongue last Wednesday following our company Accountant wondering round the office coughing and sneezing on Monday. “Thought I had hay fever” but Wednesday he tests positive..
Bit more of a sore throat on Friday but nothing overly bad. Friday night I didn’t sleep at all, coughing constantly. Took a test Saturday morning…positive. Bit of a temperature, headache ( could be all the coughing ) but just the most painful throat I’ve ever experienced..
This evening, I feel a bit better. The cough has lessened a bit as has the sore throat. No headache, no temperature. Still tested positive..

I've got the dreaded lurgy. Think i was infected at a family funeral on Thursday. Vaxxed and boosted. Felt a bit ropey @ 6am when walking the dog. Went to work and felt progressively worse with chills being the major symptom along with runny nose, headache and feeling generally exhausted. Left work at 1145 and straight home to bed. Feel like I haven't slept for days.
LFT showed +ve within 90 seconds.

Both woke with a cough Sunday, partner was worse and did a latflow and came up positive, I tested negative but still been under the weather and coughing occasionally. She then had a rotten night, so have worked from home today.
Don't know if I'll get it like she's got in the next few days, test positive at all at any point, or just have it pass my by as I know some in the situation have.
Stag do due to be next weekend, so hoping for the latter!

I have it again. Went to Rammstein in Cardiff last Thu then Haydock races Saturday. Felt rough on beer Sunday, Monday had the lurgy and now popping Cold and Flu Relief.
Up and about and working ok but have the sniffles/tickly cough and don't feel like going in the gym (in my garage).
First time was NYE so it has been 6 months.

That's a bit concerning as I hoped everyone(me!) who probably had the original Omicron variant over Christmas would be ok for now - apparently not!I had it in March, so now being very careful again as everyone around me seems to be catching it.

I thought false positives where uncommon? Not an expert.
After half a week living in the same house as someone who's tested positive, I am still testing negative. Also still feel a bit off colour, if better than she is, so no idea what is going on there.
Can you be in a position where you are exposed to the virus, have some symptoms, but are fighting it off well enough that the amount of virus in your body is not enough to trigger a test?
I believe it's not uncommon to have symptoms a day or so before testing positive, and to have some tail to feeling under the weather after becoming negative again, so maybe it's that but without the positive bit in the middle.
During which presumably you are also not overly infectious? Currently working from home and isolating as no reason not to.

Almost certain that it must be possible yes. There are multiple occasions over the last 2 years where I've been exposed to people who had covid, felt a bit off colour for a day and then fine, but never tested positive. Equally other friends with similar experiences where family members had it and they then felt ill but never had a positive result. After half a week living in the same house as someone who's tested positive, I am still testing negative. When I finally got it in April (well...tested positive) I had a particularly rubbish 3 consecutive days of poor/short sleep and a long day of driving. Undoubtedly my immune system wasn't at it's peak. I felt similar to how I had previously when testing negative but it then progressed into something a bit more with a proper cough and a bit of a temperature.
All our immune systems react differently, and I suspect some of us are luckier than others!

My sister phoned - my niece has just been blue-lighted to hospital!!! Very low oxygen stats, in & out of consciousness. 34 years old, 3 x jabbed...
Not good, and very sorry to hear that.My brother in law works I A&E in South Wales and says they haven't seen anyone in with covid under the age of 80 in the past year.
Certainly sounds serious, but hope she gets the care she needs and makes a full recovery.
If it's not asking too much, does she have any pre-existing conditions?
Had a bad lurgey all week which seemed similar to having covid .had nearly all the same symptoms ,it came from someone who claimed to have tested negative multiple times but I’m not so convinced
Strangely though he had a bad cough and still does but I never got that or maybe it’s yet to come

Annoyingly, I seem to have been left with post covid headache. It wakes me every day like the worst hangover ever - can’t be my pillows otherwise i would have had them for ages, not just the last 2 days.
Not alcohol related as I haven’t had any..
Googled it and it seems to be a “thing”. Could last 3 weeks.
