What Are Your Gym/Fitness/Routine Moans?
Discussion
Gyms and public swimming pools.
For the obvious reasons, but the pools... Dear God. I went in once and spotted two special needs sessions - nothing wrong with this, obviously, I'll swim around. But one 'session' wasnt special needs at all - they were just idiots p*ssing about. A fat couple who took to sync swimming in the lane area, trying to swimm up and down the lanes feet to feet, then hugging and pushing each other under laughing like kids. They looked mid twenties. Getting in everyones way.
Obviously public pools are for the public, and each to their own, but FFS be considerate.

And a minor moan. People that spend ages on the treadmil/x-trainer at a very gentle walking pace not putting any effort in. (Only applies when there's no other machine free.) If you're making the effort to turn up you should at least break a sweat.
OH MY LORD THIS!!!Why do they do it?!! Also where they put the treadmill on the steepest incline, hold onto the bar and walk for two hours! Have they no idea the strain this puts on their backs?
I know I could go outside and run I know, I know. But why come to the gym to WALK?
It could well be someone rehabilitating after an injury.

I could be here all afternoon but....:
1. People who keep checking themselves out in the mirror after every rep
2. People who wear plimsolls/espadrilles - fashion victims.
3. Ditto ridiculous tracksuit bottoms/fashion t-shirts
4. Girls who wear full make-up. Not my lookout but why?!
5. People who take the treadmill next to mine when all others are free. Urinal rules apply FFS!
6. Instructors who spend more time on the pull than actually instructing.
7. Socialites who spend their entire session talking to fit girls/other blokes and do about 3 reps before going home.
8. (the crowning, most annoying gym annoyingness ever) .

People who spray shedloads of deodorant/aftershave/perfume on before they go and work out.

Sorry - thought we were talking treadmills.
Yes. Treadmill on a gradient works your glutes more, for example. You can also walk for longer than on uneven surfaces, and walk 'better' if it's for rehab. Different dynamic to walking though, so walking and treadmill both useful. Not only that, but some people's posture when running is awful, and they're better walking briskly.

People that finish their workout, head to the changing rooms and unload all their gym bag, sweaty gear and general crap all over the benches taking up all the available space and then go for a sauna/shower leaving no-one else any space to put their stuff down.
That'll be number one on my list. training with others that takes me back
to be fair, I had occasion to train in Exmouths finest last week, it was weird training with other people around again but none of them annoyed me, it's more a hardcore gym though, no way i could go back to a fitness first or the like, well, I could but wouldn't like it.
