I'm down to 152kg this morning from 162kg.
Using a online calculator, it rekons I'll be 105kg at 10% bf. I'm guessing more 130kg but apparently I can't genetically be that big so we'll see. At least dieting is going well

Good effort, but i expect you've underestimated the amount of fat you're carrying. Its very hard to measure above about 15-18%Using a online calculator, it rekons I'll be 105kg at 10% bf. At your age, unless you are juicing, you'd be the first human being ever to walk the earth with that much lean mass

Fatty liver, not of a concern to the doctors but I want to fix it before it gets worse. Have to do it through fat loss, well because I have excess body fat it's what they recommend. What's with the drop? No more strong man stuff ?
I was planning to at the end of this year anyway so not so much of an issue.
I'm still training strongman, just watching my strength drop

yes possibly, problem is that it sits on my midsection mainly. Arms/legs are lean in comparison. At your age, unless you are juicing, you'd be the first human being ever to walk the earth with that much lean mass
I won't know until it happens but I do feel like it's possible at the moment lol

That's how the body works, fat is stored to protect/insulate the vital areas so men store fat mainly on the stomach and 'love handle' areas, women I believe its thighs and arse (but obviously I have no experience of that).I won't know until it happens but I do feel like it's possible at the moment lol
From my experience of losing weight, as you start to lose weight you will uniformly lose it all over your body, my feet and wrists are noticeably smaller and my hand and face noticeably more veiny/boney. The first to go on around the vital areas will be the last to come off.
My advice, just get into the habit of counting your calories, lose weight slowly and reap the benefits, don't over think it, it will happen, don't let yourself get downhearted if you not losing weight or you have a moment of weakness.

I'm happy to be proven wrong, but I think what you'll find is that when you get into the 20%->12% range, you'll start dropping weight faster than your skinfold measurements go down. This is the zone where the majority of the visceral fat starts to disappear, and you cant know how much of this you have until either you lose it, or you get measured in a floatation tank
I'd like to prove it wrong I haven't been 20% or less since I was in primary school
I'll probably get a body fat test done at 130kg to see where I stand, I'm just doing visual test for now before going back to measuring.
Halb, already going down. But then again, who tries to do near maxes on a diet?
changing program to try and stop it mentally depressing me

This is also a self fulfilling prophesy, because if you're energy starved and your training slackens off, that's what really makes you lose strength

What vital bits do women have in their thighs and arses then? Hoofy said:

How long have you been in a deficit? It takes a long old time to really lose strength.... but if you aren't getting enough carbs you can screw the energy systems in the muscle really quickly, giving you the illusion of weakness.

Just short of 8 weeks. This is also a self fulfilling prophesy, because if you're energy starved and your training slackens off, that's what really makes you lose strength
230g protein, similar carbs and 120g fat (I think those are the numbers)
BW Press by year end.
Fail.
I've done hardly any training this year, though a couple of false starts.
Just recently started again so if I can get my **** together it'll be my target for next year, though another year older. I'll be 54 next Summer so I'll aim to do it before then.
