What's wrong with me?!
Discussion
Hi all,
I visited Ross in hospital this evening.
It will be some time before he's posting in here again as there is a lot of recovery ahead. However, the initial signs of his recovery are encouraging.
Although he is heavily sedated and with ventilation, he can hear and communicate through some basic writing, nodding his head, smiling and squeezing your hand.
I told him about all of your kind words and he smiled and nodded.
Thanks again for all your generous posts.
Best wishes,
Matt

We're all thinking of him Matt.
Ross made light of this, kept his spirits high and helped us all to deal with it in a positive way. Truth be told it's a very serious procedure he has undergone and he faces a tough time in the coming months, I have nothing but admiration for his fortitude.
Might sound glib and throwaway but I'm sure everyone here would agree, if there is anything we can do to help don't hesitate to ask.
Ross is clearly one of the good guys.

Hi Matt
Thanks for the post. Whilst I read the letter posted by Ross from his consultant which did appear serious, I perhaps underestimated the magnitude of the procedure, no doubt due to Ross' amazing positivity. It's great to hear the signs are positive and do let him know we're all rooting for him.
I feel a bit guilty as he lies there in a hospital bed, having his genitals bathed by the NHS' finest nurses, left alone to his thoughts and all he can do is contemplate his next invoice.
I persuaded him into his first money pit (E38) when he was actually looking for an E39. All it took was a clandestine services meet and a quick passenger ride up the motorway in my own personal money pit E38 and he was convinced he wanted a money pit all of his own.
Since then, he has graduated to Money Pit Max with his E65, and I can't help feeling a little bit responsible for his financial plight. Ho hum.
Cheers, HR.
