All the best for your procedure Ben. I bet the hardest part will be staying away from the iron
Thanks man. My gym is closed this week for a refurb, but this also means there’s a bunch of new kit I won’t be able to play with for a while. I have a plan though, kinda- will just have to see how it goes though. And I’ll try my best to be sensible.... mostly.... Cheers gents, just a temporary blip. Plus I'm aware if I rip it again before it's healed, then it's going to be a longer set back.....
However, there will be a few things I can do fairly soon- main limitation will be pulling movements. I've trialed arms, shoulders, chest and legs successfully, just really need to be sensible, keep it very light, and be careful with focus.
Despite being hospitalised more times than I can remember from accidents and stupidities, I've never had an operation before! Something new for me

I doubt you'll be down long, I think it was 4 weeks post gallbladder removal I won a comp
Not quite the same but you'll recover quick no doubt.

supersets 4 rounds of each
Dumbbell clean & press x 3 (up to 34kg)
Dumbbell snatch x 4 (up to 42kg)
Kettlebell squat x 5 (2x24kg kettlebell)
Glute-ham raise x 10
Pullup x 5
Dip x 15
This evening:
Conditioning workout (6x3-min rounds) burpees, star jumps, split jumps, mountain climbers
Core workout (kneeling wheel rollouts, Russian twists, v-ups, superman, bicycle crunches)
I haven't been getting to the gym very much at all recently, so it was great (and extremely tough) going twice in one day.

All went well- bit tender, and it can smart somewhat if you forget- feel pretty decent though. Definitely no problem to do lighter stuff I think, any core engagement is to be avoided though- but my body
let’s me know pretty quick if I make that mistake....

Just started training for a triathlon, really enjoying it, really challenging! (there is a triathlon thread but its dead)
Got in a bit of a rut in the gym so thought I would change things up!
Still go to the gym twice a week for core, single leg work and basic compounds.
Going for an Olympic length triathlon next year, anyone else done one, training for one or have any experience?

For the sticky pad electrode for diathermy.
My thoughts too- but they stuck these on my shoulders and chest before I went to sleep. Maybe didn’t stick well, who knows!Anyhoo- full body workout today using a bunch of new kit at the gym, which is ace. Only thing I’m not happy doing was hamstrings, other than that, it was mostly pumpy isolation stuff, strictly avoiding core engagement. Lots of sets of 21’s.....
Pretty good! Back on track. Still being very careful though.
