Yep. Gone off the shakes a bit but that's down to the flavours I currently have. Really enjoying the hot food stuff. Cajun chicken and Thai green curry ftw.

What’s your routine with it, one/two a day instead of a meal?

Yep….. a shake for breakfast every weekday…. A guaranteed 200 calories and no need for vitamins and supplements and other crap…. Strawberry and chocolate are my favourites…. The chocolate is thicker than the others!!

Pretty much. Might have a shake in the morning and maybe another at lunch, or the hot and savory.

I still use the savoury meals, however, it's mostly as backup for when I'm too tired to cook anything, or if I come home late from an evening's running session, after work. I don't have any specific routine for its use and it's not specifically for weight loss either.

I also recently bought some of the salted caramel black powder. That sort of is to help weight loss/to stay lean as it's good to have as a healthy, low fat snack to avoid bags of crisps and bars of chocolate etc.

The idea of living permanently on Huel sounds ridiculous.

I'd happily supplement a meal a day for it while I'm at work. It means I don't need to worry about what I'm eating (there's potential fast food crap everywhere) but I wouldn't have it for every meal nor when I'm at home.

Actually quite like the taste of salted caramel and the texture is fine.

Use the shakes when I'm in the office, mainly to control calories and avoid crap fried food from the canteen.

Also got the spicy Mexican hot food.. Its OK for the odd lunch per week.

I've started picking bags up from marketplace for less than direct.

Have you tried the Cajun Chicken flavour savoury meal?

I've picked up some of the ready to drink ones from Sainsburys for my lunch to give it a go. They do seem to fill me up but by about 4pm I'm starving, I actually really like the flavours, only tried vanilla and chocolate so far, I have iced coffee caramel to give a go in a bit.

I use Huel, only the powder though. I do 16:8 fasting with a 12-8pm eating window during the week. I have a shake at 12 and a small meal at around 3 then dinner at about 7.

It works for me as having it at 12 rather than food means I eat less and it makes me less hungry at the 3 o'clock meal. I'm not really doing it for weight loss, but my life has become more sedentary because of work commitments and I don't want to start gaining weight.

It's pretty tasty and very convenient for me. Not tried the real food from them, I'm sure its fine though.

Personally I'm making a Huel shake and chucking it in my work/gym bag. If I'm on the go and reaching for a snack or junk, this is the perfect quick alternative and helps to maintain my sugar levels (Type 2 diabetic) instead of reaching for utter crap out of bad habits etc.

I also did a t-shirt/shaker bundle about a month ago and had two sets of shake powder and two savoury hot meals. Although the Mexican Chilli is utterly awful to me, I loved the Mac and Cheese and like others, find that they're tasty and convenient. Certainly much better, and 30% cheaper than a Tesco meal deal, which would be my lunchtime go-to otherwise when I'm in the office.

I did do two weeks of shake for breakfast, hot powder for lunch and a normal evening meal and I felt pretty good, though I suspect that was as much to do with the extra water, extra sleep and less crap as with using Huel.

Once my shakes are gone I'm just going to stick with the hot meals as they're a convenient and easy meal and contain good things as opposed to Redbull, McCoys S&V and a bacon and chicken sarnie. Breakfast revers to porridge with fruit because winter.

One thing I would say is that the extra fibre content has definitely made itself known... dear God. Even my kids, two stinky boys, object to my guffs now and then.

Its odd how some people get so angry about things like this and demand that only idiots don't make their own from a protein shake and a vitamin pill.

I have been using Huel for a month or so now, a combination of Black Edition powder and Hot & Savoury.
For me the benefits have mainly been easy calorie and nutrient tracking, helping me to ensure that I am eating regularly which can be difficult in my day to day life and massively simplifying life by removing any thought about what I will eat, when, shopping for it or eating in a restaurant 3 times a day.

Generally I have a Black Edition shake for breakfast and a Hot & Savoury for lunch or dinner with some 'proper' food filling the other spot. Two days a week I volunteer at a charity until late so will often have two H&S meals during the course of the day.

The BE Vanilla isn't my favourite, I can drink it but the bag from my first order is still in the kitchen and I never reach for it unless I have run out of other flavours, the banana being my favourite. I have some Coffee Caramel on the way which I have not yet tried.
I have occasionally had the RTDs when out and about but the lower carbs and higher protein of the BE powder is preferable to me and I actually prefer the grainy texture.
I mix mine in the new style shaker with skimmed milk and refrigerate the night before as its much nicer cold, I have on occasion used a blender with some ice.

The Hot & Savoury meals are good, more filling than they look and great nutrient profiles. So far I have had the Mexican Chilli and the Mac & Cheese but have a delivery shipping in a few days which includes the new Carbonara. The chilli is good, not super spicy but enough flavour to not be bland and a decent texture with something to chew.
The Mac and Cheese is better than most shop bought versions. I can enjoy it just fine on its own with a bit of salt and pepper but I have also added a bit of panchetta which was very nice and often mix it with a big bowl of Brussel sprouts, also good!

I don't know what the people complaining that its expensive are living on, my use is probably two thirds of my meals for around £100 a month, and I am a big and very active guy.

I was surprised when I stumbled upon huel to find a product that's profile is very similar to the primal system i used to drop humongous amounts of weight in a short period of time

As I am unable to maintain motivation to stick to a primal system I have given huel a go, 2 pre-made shakes a day, 1 meal, and 1 bar if needed

The premade shakes are excellent (making it myself would just be a barrier to doing it) keeping me satiated for 4-5 hours and the flavours are decent (but not delicious), it also does not trigger my insulin response (i hit 20+ mmol with a carb meal), 7/10

The bars take the edge of hunger for a few hours, texture and taste is ok, little enjoyment in eating them but they do a job 5.5/10

Hot and spicy, I think i must be eating something different to everyone else, i have had 5 different flavours so far and they are all like eating cardboard flavoured baby food, i now call it gr-uel. I need to put worcestershire or tobasco sauce into them to make them palatable. No insulin response and they are a very fast and easy way to get a controlled calorie hit without turning to alternatives. 3.5/10 except the korma thats vile 1/10. It will however help me kick start this health drive over the next 3-4 months. Hopefully I will feel better at that point and can be bothered to prep primal food again

Its certainly working for me

I ordered a bundle last week, as someone new to Huel.

I have to say, I could barely finish the bars I had (Salted Caramel, Raspberry). Just so bitter.

The Mac and Cheeze is fantastic and is my daily lunch now. I'll probably try the carbonara next.

I've got two big bags of Black Edition Salted Caramel too, which is pretty nice. I'll use that on the days I can't be bothered cooking 'proper' food.

Back on Huel, lunch only, powered through the awkward farty stage and that side of things seems to have settled now.

Nice to see they have vending machines airside at Heathrow, nice easy alternative to airplane food without faffing around with taking powder in hand luggage and then adding water once through security.

Not wedded to it, but I do have a shake or hot and savoury for lunch and occasionally for dinner if I can't be bothered to cook.

Quite like the salted caramel BE and the pasta based hot meals.

I’ve had the Hot and Savoury Carbonara for the first time today, it was ok but much prefer the Mac and Cheese and the Mexican Chilli
