Huel food. Any good?

I use the Hot & Savoury meals as well as Black Edition.
Like all Huel you can certainly view them as being a meal, though you may want to adjust the serving size to up the calories as it sounds like you are eating three meals a day and 1200 calories is unlikely to be enough. I eat five or six meals a day and around 3000 calories.
My evening meal won’t be anywhere near 400 calories so I think I’m alright for now but cheers for the mention. I might look at the savoury meals if I start to get bored of shakes then.

Huel Black Salted Caramel, Mac and Cheese and Chicken and Mushroom is my normal order. I didn't get on with the rice ones and I don't mind the Tomato, but I wasn't enamored with it. I may try the Carbonara at some point. I tend to just have it for lunch.
The carbonara benefits from a liberal salt and peppering.I used to love the Mac & Cheese but I haven't had it since they changed the formula and most people seemed to slate it.
Anyone wanting to try Huel can get £10 off and £10 off for my using this link

The cost of MyProtein has gone nuts. The last time I bought 5kg of Whole Fuel it came to £37 with delivery & discount & now it's over £52. Huel is now £57 for two bags (3.4kg) so it's still a bit more expensive but it seems MP have seen the opportunity to ramp the cost up.
I bought a bag of myproteins version in salted caramel. I could only liken it to a baby who has been sick after eating a pack of Farley's rusks. It's got very little flavour and the consistency doesn't even meet the Huel level of satisfaction. Not greatLee Jones Jnr said:

Thanks. I've not had any that is inedible, but food to know. The Mac and Cheese isn't quite as good, but I found that it tended to boil over a bit more, but no major changes. I used to love the Mac & Cheese but I haven't had it since they changed the formula and most people seemed to slate it.
I used Huel for a month or so using some special offer, got a nice T-shirt, 2x Vanilla ready-meal shakes and Mac n Cheeze.
Sent them an email a few days later, the Mac & Cheeze was probably the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten, having just overtaken the Vanilla shake that had taken that crown the day before. I told them i'd rather eat the T-shirt, they were surprised as 'most customers really like it' but were good enough to give me a load of vouchers which I spent on some more shake mix and the Madras ready meal.
After this arrived, I had 3 packets of shakes (2x vanilla, 1x banana), some ready-made shakes in variety of flavours and the Madras thing.
After chucking away most of the vanilla stuff becuase I just couldn't take any more, I am now down to half of the banana shake mix left. Once this is gone I'll never touch the stuff again. Just hated almost everything i've had from a taste and texture thing. The vanilla shakes I physically threw back up again a couple of times before I gave up, the banana one is just about doable but I have to down it in one go just to get it done.
I don't think I've found a protein shake or meal replacement that I can live with long-term. All of them taste nothing like their described as. I have to buy plain stuff now and hide it in a smoothie.

I'm about to go back on the huel after a two year hiatus as i'm fed up of sandwich options and i'm tending to over eat other stuff for lunches.
I've also just put on a load of holiday weight from eating and drinking too much so want to watch my intake (which i've never really had to do before)
When i used to drink huel for lunch, it would fill me up but i'd be absolutely ravenous after maybe four hours. Is this a common issue with Huel?
Also, what''s good for lunch these days? When i used to have it there weren't any options really so i just had plain vanilla or chocolate which i enjoyed

I took a new delivery yesterday as they were offering a free bag of Salted Caramel if you spent £46.
So I got a bag of banana, a bag of cajun pasta and the free salted caramel. Plus t-shirt, / shaker etc that all new customers get.
Pasta is actually quite nice - had that for lunch yesterday. Did see me through to dinner.
Had banana shake for lunch today - just had to grab a bag of popcorn as a snack

That was my problem although i'd normally crave salt and have a pack of crisps after the huelHad banana shake for lunch today - just had to grab a bag of popcorn as a snack
I had a supermarket bottle of Huel today, the chocolate one, which cost me £3 at Tesco after their clubcard discount

4 hours for 400 calories sounds ok to me? I've also just put on a load of holiday weight from eating and drinking too much so want to watch my intake (which i've never really had to do before)

I use the Black which may fill you up for longer due to higher protein content and the hot and savoury is a good option too.
I figured this thread would be the best place to ask the question rather than create a new thread so here goes.
I've been using Huel black edition for a few months now, having one a day for my breakfast. Typically I don't replace any other meals with them.
I've been watching a few podcasts lately and some of these topics have been about ultra processed foods. Having googled it, huel definitely fits into this category.
However it markets itself as healthy. So is it actually healthy? Or is it just marketing? I'm trying to work out whether it would be worth continuing with this, or replacing it with real food for breakfast - for example a high protein Greek style yogurt, nuts and a few berries instead.
Any thoughts?

I use it for convenience - when i'm in the office i'll have a shake for lunch. If i'm working from home i might have a hot and savoury for lunch.

My rule of thumb is that, the harder any product tries to convince you that it is <x>, the less <x> it actually is.I've been using Huel black edition for a few months now, having one a day for my breakfast. Typically I don't replace any other meals with them.

By that yardstick, Huel is very unhealthy indeed.
Of course the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. It's a quick and easy way to get calories into you that has reasonably low fat and contains a few nutrients. As such, Huel is probably better for you than eating a bacon sandwich every day. But it's almost certainly less healthy than a balanced and varied breakfast.

That's from one powder.
I also see from the link about that they handily introduce 'highly-processed' rather than 'ultra-processed'.
