Two blokes I know have gone onto TRT, both are gym-goers and both are what I would describe as barrel shaped. Both have admitted to going over their prescribed dose of test.

I (and they I suspect) expected them to become leaner and more muscular. However 12-18 months down the line and they don't look different.

Have any of you guys noticed a big difference in body composition?

You don't tend to notice a great difference in that respect. I guess the only guys that would (presuming every thing else is equal) are the ones who were super low and then jumped up to to the high end of range.

Generally, people only start seeing big changes when they push their free T past 1.0 nmol/L. But that is unwise for many and unsustainable for most.

Some people are quite happy eating what they want and being strong in the gym.

I also suspect they see something very different from the rest of us when they look in those magic gym mirrors laugh

Oh without a doubt, I've been that person myself!
Took me a long time to realise if I actually lose some fat I will look better.

So my appointment with the NHS endo clinic is on 10th Jan. I realise its a waste of time to a degree but I guess for me its another opportunity to get a fresh set of bloods done and ultimately hear from their perspective what might be causing the issue.

I suspect the outcome will be the gel, at which point ill go private.

Overall I guess I am just curious about the process to see what happens!

Don't you want gel then? They can start you on that and move to injections if it doesn't relieve symptoms after several months.

Most people do it the other way round, get a (quicker) private consultation to get the tests and possible treatment plan and then transfer to NHS GP for cheaper treatment ongoing.

In your position I’d be trying to persuade your specialist to prescribe the injectable T from the outset. Not the 3 monthly one, but the one you administer a few times a week.

I’ve had my Dr contact endocrinology to see if they’ll do the same for me, as Testron is no longer available.

Didn't know that could be done. Wonder what injectable they offer? My guess is Sustanol but Enanthate would be preferential give its a single ester.

Well now I'm fully in to flow of TRT treatment, stable on my dosage with blood tests coming back consistent, I'm considering moving away from Optimale/similar and going it alone with much much cheaper bottles of testosterone and getting blood tests privately six monthly/yearly.

Rather than post, can those in the know/who do similar message me with a trust worthy source of Test cypionate/enanthate. It seems to be a minefield.

Thanks

To both above ^^

I'd join body building forums and you will find what you want.

Remember all raws come from China and it is REALLY simple to brew your own oils.

Sources/brewing are discussed on meso, steroid underground, with a view to reducing potential harm.

A risky business on a number of levels. Just because all is sun and light now does not mean things will stay that way.

As time goes by you are likely to develop various age related conditions as many of us do. What will you tell your GP when he asks questions in this area? remember, anything you tell them will go on your medical record at that point.

If you come clean with your doc he will advise you to stop and your relationship from that point will always include a conversation on the matter.

Do you have life insurance? this could very likely be contested if you drop down dead once medical records are factored in. Your family are at risk of getting nothing.

Every purchase of underground lab products will mean you will have to undergo more regular blood tests to ensure it is dosed correctly. Batch quality can be an issue with even the most well regarded labs.

How will you pay for these products? any payment through bank accounts has the potential to flag up on a blacklist and you might have to experience regular security checks on your account. You are not doing anything illegal of course but the seller most definitely is.

Those are just off the top of my head, I am sure others will pop up.

New to this subject but think I maybe low testosterone.

53yrs old male, 79kg, do alot of endurance (running / cycling) exercise, maybe 8-10yrs per wk for last 20yrs or so. (very little gym work)

For the last 12-18 monbths I've started to feel lethargic about alot of stuff (including evening exercise wink) and wondering if it could be low Testosterone.

Can anyone recomend a good company to test levels? (and if needed help)

I don't think any of that is correct.

Medichecks are the most widely known. Slightly more expensive than most. You can use https://www.optimale.co.uk/ that a lot of people on here are using.

Alternatively, just search 'blood tests' and your local area and you can just book in that way. It's a very simple and common process these days and everyone is going to be pretty much the same experience.
