6 week premature daughter
Discussion
Yes, very.
Wife had felt no movement for a day or so and went in for a scan.
As you now know, induced labour with no little person at the end of it is painful to see and go through.
Jimmy was our first, and going home from hospital without him was heartbreaking, and to see all the baby stuff at home that wasn't going to get used equally so.
We found out why he died - wife had a small bleed and she's Rhesus negative - essentially her blood cells attacked the 'foreign body' that was a baby and he became anaemic.
This since led to great complications /risks with our two subsequent kids - but at least they're fit and healthy 12 years later!
It's an old cliche I know, but time is a great healer.
It doesn't seem possible to get over something like this at the time it happens, but humans are resilient.
Good luck to you both, I'll be thinking of you in the weeks to come.

Just back from a Hellish 30 hours. We got to say goodbye to the little mite.
Horribly sad and the worst thing is my wife had to go into labour. Her body is now post childbirth hormonal, ie, lactating, swollen and no baby

When Sarah was kept overnight before Michaels rather unexpected and early arrival, they sent me home. I slept not a wink, but instead wandered around the house looking at all the baby preparation that we'd done. I then worked out how to get all of it out of the house and into storage before she would get home if the worst happened.I do not recall it being one of my more enjoyable evenings.
Hello all,
More cooking and cleaning for me today.
Wife not coping very well at all so I'm concentrating on looking after her and our daughter.
Doctor came out to us today, I think Nicola is in shock. Now on diazepam for a week or so. Her back and neck have gone into spasm.
Apparently I was crying in my sleep last night.
My daughter is being fantastic and so gentle with her mum. They just know don't they.
Thanks for everyone's thoughts.
