So are the Covid 19 Jabs but they're still dishing them out for fun

Quercetin works well for me. Its a flavonoid anti-inflammatory so side effects are minimal.

On a really bad day I take Pirinase nasal spray (only one worth taking in my experience).

Had some hayfever symptoms today which have left me itchy as fk on the face head and neck.

Some years I get really bad hayfever and some years barely any symptoms. On the years it’s bad, none of the sprays, tablets or anything have any impact at all.

Given how bad my reaction seems to have been after 20 mins in the garden this morning. I’m going to try the steroid injection.

There may be some side effects but this feels like a year my body/nature has decided to go nuclear.

Anyway, booked in for Sunday so will see what they say and what happens. I’ve already scratched one of my itchy knuckles raw.
Have you tried Chlorphenamine? That should help with the itch. I'd avoid Kenalog as we discussed above, especially as no reputable health professional will administer it, not to mention the risk of being given a fake
That is a little worrying as he’s been my GP for 14 years. I am going to mention the side effects and NHS ban and see what he recommends.
Just been to see the doctor. He doesn’t recommend the injection unless all other options have failed. He’s given me some tablets I haven’t heard of before - unfortunately I’ve left them in the car so don’t know what they are.

Going to try these for a couple of weeks and hopefully they do the trick. If not and I have severe attacks this summer he will consider the injection further.

Going away for an outdoors type long weekend end of this month, so should be a good test.

Just to give an update

My GP advised I try prescription strength Fexofenadine 180 for a month and if that didn’t work he would give me the injection. He said take 1 a day at the same time and 1 in the morning and 1 at night if I felt I needed to.

I was extremely sceptical as I have tried everything over the years although I have to admit I’m not familiar with Fexofenadine and it doesn’t ring a bell.

I have to say it’s working 95%. Some days I take two if I’m feeling a little bit itchy in the eyes but then it’s gone within the hour.

I’ve bought a load of generic Fexofenadine 120 over the counter and taking 1.5 to equal 180.

Seems to have done the trick fingers crossed.

Not sure what you are paying OTC but they are relatively cheap on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Allevia-120-Tablets-Fexof...

Past few days have been brutal - and this is even whilst taking fexofenadine 180mg. It’s mainly the sneezing for me. Hoping a steroid nasal spray will help.

I was really suffering yesterday when I went out cycling. What surprised me is that when I checked the pollen levels it was showing as moderate for tree, and low for everything else - it felt much worse!

everything was fine for me over the past week until yesterday when it hit me like a bus. took fexo in the morning and it wore out around 6pm. tons of sneezing, runny and blocked noises followed. still pretty bad this morning.

Mine have definitely started to lose their edge. I’m taking 480mg a day now to get the same effects. Still have a bit of an itchy eye now and again. BUT they are better than anything I have ever had before.

The main reason I was considering the injection, was that although it seems to have some side effects in some people. I’m not convinced taking huge quantities of in this case fexofenadine won’t have some side effects even if they are not obvious to me now.

Fast forward to 2040 and I’ve got fexofenadine lung or fexofenadine testicalitus or some other weird side effect no one knew about.

I've been taking fexofenadine 180 for what must be approaching 20 years. Always also had to use nasal spray, eye drops and get very wheezy every year.

I had a kenalog injection about 15 years ago and it works - I was considering having one this year but as we know it's not really that good for you.

After speaking with a work colleague who was in pretty much the same position as me (he hasn't taken any medication for over a year now), I did the same "alternative" therapy as him on Saturday. If I explained it here, you'd send the men in white coats biggrin.

So far - pretty much cured. I've sneezed twice and blown my nose a couple of times and I've not had any medication.

There's a detox process to follow so will do that and report back. The big test will be Le Mans - had an awful year last year and thought twice about going this year because of it.

You need an open mind and I was a little sceptical before going but as far as I'm concerned, if it works, I really don't care about the theories around it!

It's been v bad for the last few days!

I use fluticasone propionate (Pirinase, unbranded versions are available) which does a decent job for my moderate symptoms.

Is it something called the Lightning Process? If so, it worked and cured my severe dog allergy.

Just had a look at that, there may be some cross over but it wasn't that. The whole theraoy was done by the lady I visited in just over 2 hours. There were a few things brought together - muscle testing, NLP and hypnosis (possibly plus others). I've got a bunch of detox related supplements to take over the next couple of weeks.

If I explained some of the things she did, many people would think I was bonkers to pay actual money for it but I thought that after 30 years of black belt hayfever, it was time to try something different!

Sounds very similar - It cured my wifes ME/CFS overnight, I was there just as an observer, within 2 hours I had a golden labrador sat on my lap with no allergy. I couldn't even go in a house with an unseen dog before that.

That's brilliant!

My wife is really struggling with her hayfever - it seemed to have started a bit later than normal (beginning of last week). Fingers crossed this works long term - I'll be happy if it only lasts a season but it's supposed to be a permanent thing.
