Been wiped out since yesterday progressively worse from midweek with the first harvest of household lurgy.

Son has been full of cold/cough and missus has had a cough for a week or so and I've naturally been hit harder being the grown male in the house.

Chest feels horrendous when I cough, tonsils feel like im swallowing razor blades and sinuses getting worse with a nasal drip. Temp up in 38 too.

Last night I got about 3 hours kip and would rather stay up than dose off and wake myself up choking. A bit of yellow is being coughed up but far from showing signs of recovering for a few days.

I really do think since I had Covid I've been worse in the Respiratory tract area, I didn't get it bad but my chest just don't feel right.

Sounds like what I had unfortunately - I had the 3 or 4 hours sleep despite falling asleep straight away and am still coughing up yellow/white stuff, and as an added bonus now it's ok the way out my ears have completely blocked up making me deaf as a post (common when I have a cold now unfortunately).

Best things to get me through it were Lemsip All in Ones with some throat sweets. I'm now handing that wisdom on to Mrs Bodhi as it seems she has it now with a much worse cough. Struggling to figure that one out given I've smoked throughout having it tbh.

Feeling OK this evening but nasal drip not great and spluttering every five minutes. I'm praying it stays away from my sinus as I had chronic sinusitis last year.

Smoking with a cold puts you in the badass category for sure.

I had something awful 3 or 4 weeks ago which had me off work for a week.
Like flu but the worst ever.
Full on blocked sinuses, no sleep, no energy which progressed into shortness of breath which still seems to be lingering along with a general malaise.
Still got the cough as well.

Been hoarsey all day and the odd yellow stuff gsts coughed up so the infection is still here 😫

Feel like sledge hammer has hit head as I type.

Took a covid test for a laugh as my temps are over periods getting high which was very similar to when I had it but negative on that one.

Debating if I bother with Work tomorrow and fight it off completely.

Forgot I have the car in at KIA tomorrow for a warranty investigation so need to drop that off ealry tomorrow DOH

Feel your pain chap - I missed the sinus issue but it went into both ears, my right one is clearing up now but the left is still full of cotton wool. Cough is on the way out, although the wife is still struggling a week after first feeling bad. With her croaky voice and my cotton ears, conversations are....challenging.....

Hope it clears up for you soon thumbup Seems a proper stinker this one, whatever it is called.

I’ve had it for over a week now… hacking horrible persistent cough and horrendous congestion. Gave in and went into Boots to buy some full strength Sudafed only to get a real lecture from the Pharmacist who clearly thought I going to use the tabs to make crystal meth or something. Felt like sneezing on her counter to illustrate the need irked

I have been ill for like 3 plus weeks now, kind of got better last Thursday which was convenient as had a Stag do to go on for the weekend which I did and mostly limited my drinking and did a bit of self preservation. Wasnt going to go as felt crap but felt well enough to go.

Get back, rough as a badgers arse again, full of phelgm, hacking cough and had the galloping squits on Monday night just to compound things, no energy and thoroughly pissed off with it all.

Not sure if I have had two separate things back to back, one guy on the stag do did announced he had Covid when he got back having done a test.

Not done any exercise for three weeks, feel marginally better today but did on Tuesday then rough again yesterday.

Think I’m going to have to see the doc; still coughing horribly and producing… well, let’s not dwell on that.

No temperature or other symptoms apart from quite a sore throat first thing. Whatever this one is can fk right off… grumpy

I've had 3 occurrences of chest infections (or a similar thing with hacking cough, sore throat, producing phlegm, fever, tiredness etc) in the past 9 weeks. I would start with a sore throat and I could pretty much feel it tracking down to my chest when I would start with the cough and phlegm. After a week or so it would go and i'd be "clear" for 2-3 weeks before it happening again.

I assumed they were different infections but seems it may be the same thing based on what has been posted previously. I was a bit concerned after the 3rd occasion so I went to the doctors. They didn't seem that concerned and just said there's a few viral infections going around which can last a while and to go back in 2 weeks if it doesn't clear or comes back again. They also didn't prescribe antibiotics as they said my chest sounds clear so didn't think they would help.

This has been me for at least two weeks. There was one or two days in amongst where I felt a bit crap and had a bit of 'sinus-y pressure'. Most days just wake up with what feels like a mild hangover and sore throat, to then be fine an hour or so later but feeling quite tired in the PM.

I’ve been off work for 2 weeks. Started with a cough, 12 hours later I’m in bed with what can only be described as proper flu. I was in bed for a week, in the end called the doctors and to get out of bed as it was sitting on my chest.
Felt rough for another week, (today was the first day feeling ok, just low energy and breathless.

I don’t think I’ve ever been this ill.

Christmas tree not up and I love Christmas! Just haven’t fot the energy or wellbeing to put it up.

Picked something rotten up this weekend. Fine Saturday morning but as the day progressed could feel myself get worse as the day went on, fever, headache, ear ache, feels like body weighs 5 time what it should. Everything aches or hurts. Sunday was no better, cough developed, spent day in bed. This morning felt better when woke up, but half hour doing work emails wiped me out and I slept for 5 hours… now feel worse than I did on weekend.

Last year had a horrible chest infection which took months to finally clear, so hoping it’s not a repeat of that.

Last year at this time I felt absolutely dreadful and it has just happened again. I could feel it coming on last week, I started sneezing, head felt like it was full of cotton wool and I had a slight cough but nothing too bad. Thought I was going to get off lightly, but yesterday it kicked in with avengence and I feel absolutely dreadful now.

Cough, headache, aches and shivers and coughing up green plegm this morning.

Sinuses feel solid with mucus and I can't stop sneezing.

Lovely, especially as I am flying to Australia on Friday. As if 25 hours in economy wasn't bad enough already. I hope I feel at least a bit better by then.
