I've decided my scales have a vendetta against me. They say I'm not losing anything +- 100gms. My belt tells me a different story. For the first time in about 8 years I can do it up to the tightest notch comfortably.
I can echo your comments here. Today I'm 400g heavier but can fit better in clothes...Previous said:
Late joiner here.
I've always avoided the Gym. Never been particularly overweight (high metabolism I guess), but certainly feeling out of shape. I'm 6'2' and 88 kilos.
WFH since March 2020, and grazing biscuits etc has left me feeling lethargic.
Since Christmas I've been taking an "anything is better than nothing approach": minimum 30 min brisk walk every day, and doing 20 push ups.
I'm starting to see and feel a benefit, even at this low level, and adding more exercises as and when I feel like it (almost all bodyweight stuff, except I do have some cheap dumbells lying around that get picked up occasionally).
I doubt I'll increase the daily minimums, as if I miss it one day it'll put me off catching up.
Hoping to stay the same weight, or even put some on, but get rid of the flabbiness, and tone up a bit.
Good to read what others are up to. Keep it up!

98.9kg this morning. Another 800 grams off this week. Or 1.76 lbs. Which isn't bad. Around 2lb a week for sustainable weight loss I think.
Clothes fitting much better, feeling much, much better about myself.
Onward and downward chaps.
Thats good work! Clothes fitting much better, feeling much, much better about myself.
Onward and downward chaps.
I've weighed in at exactly 100kg. Thats up 700g. I injured my leg Tuesday and its amazing what that does to the weight loss if its not all diet based.
Disappointed with myself this morning.

I agree with that. I know I didn't put on 4kg over the weekend, but I do know that the beers and wine are wasted calories and just add fluid and bloat. 48 hours after returning to 'normal' the total weight gain was minimal. And I really enjoyed the weekend, so I think it was worth it.
Let's face it, most of us just want to lose some weight over the medium/long term. There's going to ups and downs. We are probably eating more than we think we are, and not exercising quite as hard as we think we are. Although my half hour rowing twice a week is getting easier and faster each session. I'm certainly not clock watching like I was when I started.
I might be reconsidering your stick waving position here smokey.... have you gone soft?Let's face it, most of us just want to lose some weight over the medium/long term. No you fat t
