Yesterday, 6.30am sea swim, 55km bike session then 45 pull ups.
Today, very early morning swim, dark again, then 70kms on Zwift, got in the water again around lunch in the most appalling weather, then a single set of 32 pull ups, a new PR, training feels an absolute breeze at the mo, probably the strongest and leanest I've ever been.
How do you find the time? Do you work?Today, very early morning swim, dark again, then 70kms on Zwift, got in the water again around lunch in the most appalling weather, then a single set of 32 pull ups, a new PR, training feels an absolute breeze at the mo, probably the strongest and leanest I've ever been.

TheThing, I keep them very simple, mostly compound movements and bodyweight exercises, rep range is between 8-12 but can be higher to around 85% of failure, experience has taught me to push real hard when I feel good and back off when I'm not, works for me.

Thanks everyone!
Traps a bit sore and lower back was but have been having ongoing issues with lower back which I think is stemming from over compensating from my knee.
Catch 22 as I need to load it to get back to heavier weights but it seems in doing so I created a new problem
Hoping to pull 400kg again before the years out at my main gym.
Stiff bar and old school weights, was the original plan and I think the owners plan is to have a gym deadlift party to encourage others to join in and set some PBs too

I felt like I was lifting that with you. I need a lie down myself now
This morning was a 20 minute full body circuit;
Kettlebell deficit deadlifts 60kg X 10
Double kettlebell rows 2 X 24 kg X 12
Kettlebell presses 1 X 20kg X 10 each side
Farmers walks 60kg X 6 lengths of my garden
4 rounds.
This evening was 16 mile ride home on the road bike. 1hr and 30 seconds.
I forgot how much I enjoy full body circuits. The options are endless so it never gets boring.

If it was close to 400 do you feel much battered post lift in comparison ?
Felt beat up today so did one hard set and then easy back of work.
Chins: 40kg single then 32kg x 4,2,2,2,2
KB Press: 32kg x 7,3,3,3,3
Single leg Romanian deads: 5 x 5 @ 32kc
Calf work, abs, wide arm pull ups and lat raises.
Really making use of the 32kg kettlebell!
Still a fairly big deficit in strength and ROM on injured leg, but at least I’m walking normally now.

Yesterday, hilly hour out on the road, then a single set of pull up, did 32 which I think is a pb, will get 40 by the end of the year, also did my usual sea swim in the morning.
Today, full body workout at the gym, so standing overhead press then squats followed by weighted dips, felt good, smashed out 60km on Zwift then a very cold sea swim to cool off.

Sorry didn't see this last time I was on PH!If it was close to 400 do you feel much battered post lift in comparison ?
I went 360 before the 400, I know how a 90% lift should move and feel so if I didn't think it went too well I'd have gone 380/390 instead but aside from catching the suit it looked and felt like a routine lift.
I wouldn't do 5% jumps personally like some people do, but only because there's too much to go wrong with a 95% lift.
If you misgroove that could turn into a 100% lift and blow you for the next one whereas a 90% lift if you pull slightly wrong at least it's recoverable without too much damage or is at least for me.
Anyone know the best place to get a testosterone (and other relevant bloods) checked by a medic? Also how much does it cost?
I have private healthcare but it has excesses and, I think, needs a GP referral to endocrinology which I think I'm unlikely to get one unless there's more substantial symptoms.
