Interestingly I had my Covid jab yesterday and a few hours later I started having ectopic heartbeats which has carried on all night.

Very strange, not listed as a side effect (of which I had many last night!!) so maybe coincidence?
Missed this. Covid seems to be a cv impacting disease. The only mortality rates I could find were Italian, suggesting a 25% death rate for Af+Covid.

Bit of a strange one.... In the last two weeks, I've had to put two of my dogs down (Dobermans), and I'm on day three of heart/chest pain. It's occasional, a dull to sharp ache.

My private medical has finished (job change to being a civil servant), so not sure what to do. Heart reads fine, sounds fine.

Psychosomatic maybe? I now totally get broken heart syndrome. The second dog was my 'son', as I will never have kids.

Possible electrolyte imbalance?

I never did get to the bottom of what set mine off.... Salt, booze, compression, Leo rising in the fourth pentecostal moon, dehydration, stress.....

I'll look into the electrolyte imbalance, cheers.

Is the catheter ablation still holding?
Yeah, absolutely fine - thanks!

Get yourself a Kardia device - the recordings are worth their weight in gold.

Lots of things can set off AF - salt, booze, alcohol withdrawal, meats, lack of sleep, stress, exercise or the fact the moon is in the third moon of Pentecost….

Keep a diary about food, drink and other factors. Good luck..

Can this device monitor st depressions ?
The Kardia will provide an ECG however, I believe their most advanced is still just a 6 lead so presumably the precordial leads will not be seen.
And theres a monthly fee!
Not for me. And trust me, I'm not special.

Sorry to hear that Skinnyman. Hopefully will be sorted…

IIRC, my ablation was around the £16k area, overnight stay and over 4 hours on the table. Vitality coverage. 2020.

Well done - for me it was day 2 that I felt the worst - my chest cavity felt like I’d played a game of rugby in there. Look after yourself!
