I'll set up a Q3 if anyone is interested. Seems like a few of us have struggled this quarter.
I'm going to have a "sprint" in July, as I don't think my motivation can sustain a whole quarter and I have two (yes, count em folks, two!) holidays in august.
Yes go for it. I need some motivation again!I'm going to have a "sprint" in July, as I don't think my motivation can sustain a whole quarter and I have two (yes, count em folks, two!) holidays in august.
I need to stop lurking and sign up for Q3. I stayed away for the first 2 despite being on my own weight loss mission because I can get very competitive with myself and I want this to be a life style change rather than a quick fix. Unfortunately I seem to have lost my way slightly over the past week and some bad habits have crept back in. I hope if I'm accountable somewhere rather than just to myself I'm more likely to stick with it as I've got another 10 kilos to go before my BMI is normal
tl;dr? count me in for Q3

14 st 7 again, equal to mt personal best (well since the late nineties anyway) will see if I can push through to the next pound down, had quite a big bowl of cereal this morning, amazing how what was normal before is kind of a cheat now.
Do fancy a drink tonight after the gym though, not having beer, spirits and diet mixers, couple of G and T's, maybe should leave it.

Not too late to join this I hope
5'7, 41 and 103kg at the start of February. Down to 89kg on the 2nd April and 87kg this morning (although Sunday is my usual weigh-in day). Would like to get down to about 75kg which is where I was at the end of 2009.
Diet's been going well. I reckon, using the MyFitnessPal app I'm consistently in the 1200-1400 calorie range and on work days I'm walking about 5 miles. I've also started cycling again after an almost 20 year hiatus. The past week I've been on leave working in the garden including 4 days of heavy landscaping and I got three 10-15 mile bike rides in so the weight's been falling off.5'7, 41 and 103kg at the start of February. 83.5kg this morning which means, I think, that in old school terms I think I've lost 3 stone in almost exactly three months.
A little bored but still going. Almost 25kg down, 3 to go. I've been doing some concreting today and it's slightly hard to get my head around the fact that 4 months ago I was carrying around extra weight equivalent to one bag of cement, all of the time.
People are still asking me if i'm dying.
Going to try to get to 72.7kg as that puts me (just) into the "healthy weight" range on the NHS website and I probably haven't been in that since I was 18. Hopefully I can get there by the end of June.
Back down to 80.9 as of yesterday. Got a little way to go but it's progress.
I need to learn to be out of my normal patch and still make sensible food decisions - at the moment I manage fair to middling control at home and then when I'm away it all goes out the window. Time away is by definition really stressful, especially it often means some sort of tournament or other competition, an eating time vs energy for eating disparity etc. Considering just giving up and going for the Ensure for those days (I have it because my swallow's a bit precarious and I can't keep myself well enough hydrated without a tube)...

Final standings then...
Well done to basherX for being the only contender to reach or better his target.
Must try harder to myself, for being the worst performer despite being the instigator of the thread!
Q3 is open for business, I'm just hanging on to see if any more runners and riders join in this week.
