My joints ache. My arms ache. My thighs ache in front and behind. I experience sharp pains down my front. My shoulders feel really sore and I can barely lift my arms some days. I often find it difficult to get out of bed.

And they say exercise is good for you. thumbup

Blimey - good luck to those of you who have serious conditions.

I now feel much better about the fact that I am simultaneously going bald and for some reason re-living my teenage acne and have knees that click and grind when I walk. And I can definitely agree with the poster that complains that everything is now written smaller - I found myself doing the 'glasses removed dad-squint' the other day.

Could do with getting some proper exercise and losing half a stone, but I now have a new perspective on my knees, which have been a bit of a niggling bother for about 30 of my 38 years but in all honesty have stood up to the abuse I've leveled at them fairly well.

45 - Chronic Asthma & Migrane + mild HayFever . . .

THIS YEAR, my lovely wife has helped me irradicate my Asthma by using a new wonder-drug only available in India (google "Flutiform") and also my Migrane (4-5 a week for 10 years lasting up to 36 hours) by cutting out Asparteme - now its just the Hayfever and I will be perfect with zero-defects smile apart from my inability to do housework or hoover up properly of course - doubt that there is a cure for these two nasty afflictions wink

.. always been reasonably fit so having a heart attack and skin cancer is pretty annoying.
Were both your parents free from heart disease? If so then yes, you're pretty unlucky. Anyway being fit does not rule out heart disease if you've inherited your parents high cholesterol levels, heart defects etc ...

I survived a nasty tumour 8 years ago.Just have to crack on,y'know?

I'm also 50 this year, and seem to have got there relatively unscathed so far. The odd minor issue, but never had anything serious.

I'm too heavy but I'm trying to tackle that. Don't smoke and am a very light drinker, the odd glass of wine or whisky maybe once or twice a month.

I do have an ongoing strain type pain in my left shoulder, but I swim every morning so it never gets a chance to heal. But I'd rather have the pain than miss my swimming.

I try to do everything in moderation. I have the swimming and I always look for an excuse to walk or cycle instead of drive. But I'm not obssesive. I also like slobbing around doing nothing all day when I get a chance.

Lifestyle is obviously a factor in good health but not as much as sheer good luck. Lost a few good friends in my age group to cancer and stuff. Who knows what's around the corner.
