Call me hardcore but I say an implant from birth that prevents girls getting pregnant. If they want a child they have to pay £10k to deactivate it. We'll call it a child tax. It's a bit like child tax credits but in reverse ie you pay the government. I can see one major flaw in my plan... only the rich will be able to afford to have children and so we'll have no bin men, posties, tea ladies, hospital porters. Hmm, might need a rethink.
Better still, give all male babies an implant that renders them sterile AND impotent.

At a stroke (sic) this would stop all unwanted pregnancies, sexual assaults and prevent the spread of STIs.

... rendering the only use for men as a cash machine..

not sure if that will ever catch on ...
I was going to be naughty and say that, provided the supply of batteries was guaranteed, we wouldn't mind men as cash machines only. wink

But, my (mischievous) comment was simply a response to the misogynistic suggestion that it's us girls who should be forced to have a contraceptive implant. As with most treatments involving reproductive organs, it's always simpler to tackle (sic) males than the more complex female internals. For example female sterilisation is far more invasive and risky than a vasectomy.

But perhaps a general IQ contraceptive vaccine which targets the lower numbers would be a better all round solution?
