Get smaller dinner plates. (Or use side plates - be careful though some side plates are as big as the central part of dinner plates - very deceptive - 16.5cm diameter is good). If you aren't sure about portion size that will decide it for you. You'll think the portions are tiny but you'll probably find its a perfectly adequate amount of food.
