PH Parents of 2013
Discussion
Right, I know it's still April 2012 but I've just had the call from the missus telling me number two "is in the oven" and should be due January/February 2013!!
My hands are shaking, can't believe it. I've only just started week 5 of a new project in London while she stays in Belfast with our 2 yr old...
The ironic thing is that the docs said there was a chance we couldn't have any at all. I went and gave a "sample" nearly 3 yrs ago and never phoned for the results don't think I'll bother now.

I'm in.
Very early days, but initial predictions are that it is due early Jan, but we really have no idea yet. It could be anytime from Christmas onward. Only found out on Saturday night, and we have had all sorts of emotions since. It wasn't planned, but I am excited, as well as nervous.

Well done, good to see someone else in the club!
We're off for an early scan next week to get an idea of age, plus the missus is worried that she'll be officially "old" at 38 when baby is born.
She's now in a bad way with morning sickness, not helped by me being away 4 days a week and a two yr old who thinks that every time someone lies down that they become a climbing frame!

Its like something from the Exorcist here with the amount of morning sickness. It's lasting all day too. I do feel sorry for her! We're off for an early scan next week to get an idea of age, plus the missus is worried that she'll be officially "old" at 38 when baby is born.

At a guess we have another 4/5 weeks till the first scan. Anything can happen in the meantime, so I am trying not to get too excited just yet.

Congrats to you Kudos and S10 GTA! Best wishes for the coming months!
I really hope I don't cause any offence, but you should be aware that most people don't announce their good news for quite some time, usually until past the 13 weeks. Sadly, the first trimester is the time when a pregnancy can be lost.
It's unlikely to happen, but if the worst happens, having lots of people asking about the baby for months is distressing.
Sorry

Bitter personal experience, I'm afraid. Sorry
Sorry to hear that.I'm well aware of the risk pre 12 weeks, hency why no one other than those on here know the news.
We went for a private scan today, and so far all well
Good luck with the scan fella
have been away for a while...
We had our 12 week scan apparently all good. Happy days on that front. As the missus will have turned (just) 38, she is classed as an older mother and therefore increased risk of Downs etc. She went for a private scan/test last week and just awaiting the blood test results. Bloody nerve-wracking. I think the average risk for a 38yr old is 1 in 300. Her risk score (from scan only) was 1 in 380, so marginally better. Won’t know until get the blood test results, and then it will only be an indicative result. We won’t know until junior makes an appearance.
I took my current 2yr old to the park on Sunday and ran into a friend of a friends husband. They have a downs baby, same age as mine and it nearly broke my heart.
Any more for anymore yet? Must be getting well into the 2013 due dates know?
