There are scary and success stories out there, but assuming you do your research properly, would you consider having your Dental work done abroad?

not much of a holiday when most of it is spent teetotal and in unbearable pain smile

I have a real phobia about dentists, its those long needles. One butcher said to me "its not that bad" during a root canal treatment.

But the worst I will never forget is the day I came in for a filling, got the numbing injection, went to sit down and wait for it to kick in, collapsed on the floor and vomited for an hour.

Never knew the term "room was spinning" actual meant it was spinning until that day.

Was there a discussion on the practice of dentists in the UK caught layering gold fillings, only a small percentage of it was actual Gold, but charging for the full whack. This was in the news few years ago, what was the outcome of that? My Gold tooth fell out the other day, underneath was definitely, looked like a cap was fitted over some nasty looking black stuff, did'nt say anything as I was'nt sure, should it have been all gold? I remember paying for a gold tooth as apparently it is stronger more resilient and lasts longer.

Is this worth considering do you think?

Are all groupon deals discounted? I Just noticed there is no mention of the original price or discount offered?

The clue us in the words prices from!!!!!!!! Not the fixed fee! It'll be only for very simple uncomplicated implants. But I clearly can't say for def!

Driller prob still laughing !
I was more interested in the company, but the deal is relative to how many implants you want, startin at 995 for 1, all inclusive.

Sorry, it's just with the phrase "local anaesthetic used" it sounds like they are making anaesthetic out to be some sort of revolutionary technique as opposed to using no anaesthetic at all! I guess they mean instead of general.

Agree with Alan about the "from" thing, in fact the whole thing seems a bit commercial really but I guess that's the way it's going.

"Heart surgery, get your heart surgery here!"
I guess the fact it is advertised in Groupon does not help, but marketing wise it is a good idea as they have a vast database, gaining access to a body of people who typically cant afford expensive private dental work.

So you don't think much of this then?

Why do toothaches mainly kick in at night?

anyone recommend a non prescriptive remedy, home brew or wives tale for toothache, apart from paracetamol, flossing and salty mouthwash?

cheers

While they're at it, could they recommend a non-prescriptive remedy for kidney stones, TB and a broken leg please?;)

ETA Various reasons, one being the blood pressure in the area is lower when you're upright.

Reassuring Driller, thanks frown

By remedy I mean ease the pain till appropriate action is taken.
