I’ve had pain in my chest for the last few months. I’ve had a bug for the last 6 months, mainly in my lungs.

The pain itself is in the centre of my chest, about an inch or two below my nipples.

I have zero pain at rest, it doesn’t really come on when I work out with weights. It comes on when I walk, though. If I walk at 4 mph the pain will be about a 5 or 6, if I drop to a stroll at 3.5 mph it’s fine, unless I climb. It’s also brought on by a hot bath.

I reported to A&E about a month ago, and was kept in the cardiac unit overnight, but nothing was found. The A&E Dr had mentioned angina, but the cardiac team didn’t..

During the last 6 months the only thing the Dr’s have found is that I’m deficient in vitamin D, and I’m currently 2 weeks into an 8 week booster course.

Any ideas?

Interesting, I’d say the pain was an inch or 2 deep, rather than at the surface?

I’ve obviously been coughing a lot, and work my chest 1-2 times a week…

Too many trips to Costco?
That made us laugh hehe. Incidentally never been to one, heard they do great deals.
Costco is always more painful than you expected…

Somebody said:
You should get a referral to a cardiologist and have ECG graphs interpreted. Good luck with the waiting list!
Had that about a month ago, a night in CICU…

They mentioned a noninvasive angiogram, but didn’t perform one.

Just an update.

I’ve been ill all over winter, obviously I had this pain in my chest too.

During all the investigations the only thing detected was a deficiency in vitamin D, got put on a booster course, and the pain has gone.

Leads me to think it was muscle pain in either my heart or lungs, muscle pain being one of the main symptoms of low vitamin D.

So the doctors were correct.
I'm not surprised, I was in the same boat a few years back, only worse, much worse.
The Dr’s didn’t have clue smile

They said you were Vit D deficient, gave you a course and fixed you.You should be grateful......and now you know to keep your levels up, supplements in winter, sun in summer
Sorry, I meant they had no idea what was causing the pain.

Supplements yes, the sun on its own isn’t enough, it’s an age related condition, unfortunately.

Any supplement in particular that you’d recommend?
