The two external shots certainly look like they are outside a house to me. MoT history (just about to expire) says it's done 4k miles in the last 12 months.

Those are the same shots as used in the advert previously. At the time I thought it was strange a trader using those pictures...

If you look at Norwich sports and classics website it still shows the car but says it’s sold. They also have lots of other cars for sale all with the same “outside a house” background. I’d say the new owner just used the same pics.

Hehe, I see what you mean! Also older, 1 more owner, private rather than trade, but a higher price. What's the delta in price between buying from a showroom and buying private do we think?

Looking further, they look very small indeed, presumably a one man band - only two cars actually for sale it would seem!

Well, there was another one (same colour) recently that was a private sale at £27,000 that didn’t sell so was px’d and the dealer put it up for £33,000 and apparently got close to the asking price. Who knows how much they gave in px but I’d say they made 6 to 7k at least. Enough to pay for a years warranty and overheads.

That Evora has been sold before, not that long ago with the same photos but with 34800 miles. Not sure it’s a private sale either as it was a trade sale last time with Norwich sports and classics. Or maybe the new owner is using the previous photos?
Good spot. It went on sale in February last year, and advert was up until May. 34,000 miles, £27,995

Someone who wanted to experience an Evora, had their fun for the year and now selling for a different experience (ad mentions camper van). It's a strong money ask for the same price a year / five thousand miles later, particularly for a car without cruise control, but in the current starved market it's the cheapest one going, so can see why.

Silverstone just increased their prices £2k for a car they have been unable to sell for well over a year so seems fair to me. I do think this increasing market will subside a little once the market reopens. I'm looking at cars that are 3 years old and have gone up 50% in the last year and are being advertised at more than their new retail price. Crazy!

Posts on here and the Lotus Forum suggest that the white Evora IPS at Silverstone has been there a while (1yr or more?).

What's wrong with it? Is it poorly spec'd? Or poorly priced? Is it the fact that it's an Auto, rather than a Manual?

Sure, the price has gone up by £2k recently, but even when it was £30k it wasn't bought.

Have Silverstone just got the pricing wrong on this one? Or is it that undesireable?

What's also interesting about this car is that they haven't advertised it on Autotrader etc, why do they do this?

That car came up in another thread, i looked at the details. It appears to have some possible issues - eg side light leds failed, airbag cover warped, key missing (dealer has tried to hide that) etc
Trying to find this thread. Is this a car to steer clear from?

The car that was talking about there was sold some time ago. Registration was V6EOV, Liquid Blue metallic.

Ah ok, the one that was being discussed was the Quartz Silver one I think

I posted a 'wanted' ad on 'The Lotus Forum' and this one was offered to me at £25k - I didn't go for it as I want yellow, red or white. Buy private.
Interesting info. Given it's now being sold by Lotus Silverstone (possible on sale or return I guess) I would presume it's going with a 12 month warranty which will be at least a couple of thousand of that difference. The rest will be their dealership mark up I guess.

Ah that's fair.

I think with an Evora I'd like to drive one before buying it. It would be my daily and would sicken me if I didn't like the car.

I bought mine undriven but with a lot of Lotus background so kind of knew what it would be like. With a warranty and from a dealer I wouldn't have an issue but can totally understand why you would want to drive one first.

The only thing that would concern me running one as a daily isn't anything really to do with the car but the parts availability. Assuming a daily gets used in supermarkets, street parked etc I would be concerned about a bit of clam damage and then a long wait potentially without the use of another car.

Could happen with anything - I had a new 3 series off the road for 3 months waiting for a steering rack. Granted, it's probably more likely with Lotus!
