Who else fancies an evora s?

Lotus's current website mentions BRG and that is a solid colour, not metallic.
It is a strange omission. The Evora really suits metallic paints - they resolve the curves far better than solids. My second choice would have to be Canyon Red - looks fantastic and has the right 'tone' even if the colour isn't what you're after.

My bad. I thought it was the same as the pic above.. I'd imagine the reason for it is they are expecting most to be ordered in more conservative colours, rather than Green, yellow, orange etc
Had an extended test drive last week in the Dales. The car had the CR gearbox and I found it much more fun than the previous car I had driven: I enjoyed the increased responsiveness and urgency. Albeit the location and roads of the test drive area might have had something to do with it.
So I am in the process of speccing up a car to try and beat the VAT increase schedule (and I am going to go with the S). I must admit to being a bit phased by all the talk of new models and 'naysayers' prophesying doom and gloom for Lotus, but having my wife, and my dad! saying they much prefer the look of the Evora, over the Aston, 911 and Maserati and me preferring the drive (its just so much fun!), I am just going to make my own mind up and go for it. Sod the opinion of journalists (when their reviews come out), the forum views from Porsche/TTRS etc drivers and those who have never had a proper drive in one.
So now its down to prices (and the dealership being able to work some magic: which given economically where we are they should be able to do something. The income from a discounted sale must be better than none!) and colour. My heart says COrange with black wheels: my wife says white with black wheels and my head is erring on the side of Arctic Silver with black 20/19" wheels. So to my request: has anybody on here got a piccies of the Evora in arctic silver with black wheels!
Secondly: whats the car like for picking up stone chips: does it really need armourfending. My COrange Exige was terrible and needed fixing after only a couple of weeks. I suspect the Evora may need the front bumper covering and the rest will be OK: the car will be my daily driver. I figure whats the point in having a great car stuck in the garage and only used as a toy! Lets just have fun all the time and sod the mileage depreciation (and I suspect regular new tyres).
Thanks for any help in advance

Colour is very much a personal choice ( obvious ! )however in my opinion the lighter colours suit the style and lines of the shape of the Evora. My wife chose liquid blue with silver forged alloy wheels and charcoal interior. 12 months on delighted with the car and colour choice.
PS this car is an executive express not a brash boy racer.......well it could be....

The evora looks unexpectedly good in orange. I'd be tempted by burnt orange over the chrome variety but I guess if you're going orange you may as well go all the way. My rule is light colours dark wheels and vice versa. So black wheels are a must.
I'm told dark metallic green is entirely possible and I also love that dark blue one that's for sale at b&c right now, which is also off the colour (and desireability) charts.
You're wise to not wait for the reviews, they are likely to be glowing and then everyone will want one and there will be a waiting list!
Despite being totally overshadowed at the motorshow I think the evora S will go down as one of the greats and a real giant killer. Imagine if Honda did a 345 bhp supercharged nsx? They'd still be waxing lyrical about it now.

First of all, congrats on deciding to go for an Evora. Secondly, Chrome Orange is becoming very popular! Lotus should be sending me some commission for all the extra orange paint they have sold So I am in the process of speccing up a car to try and beat the VAT increase schedule (and I am going to go with the S). If you have a pic of an Arctic Silver, I'll easily PS the black wheels onto it for you.
Armourfending is a must have IMO. I have it in all the standard areas, and have one or two chips in the parts which aren't protected.
Tyre wear is quite high, but considering that the car is all about the handling etc, its not surprising. Mine is also a daily driver.
Options I'd say are a must have as well are - Sports Pack (MUST)& Sports Exhaust. CR box, I preferred this but its maybe not for everyone. Tech Pack is also great, and the Xenons are nice to have.
My colour preference is mainly to avoid silver, gray, white and black - the non-colours I find boring. There is nothing so depressing as a UK motorway journey surrounded by cars all painted with these non-colours. No-one buys black and white TVs, so why buy a monochrome car? Please feel free to disregard my prejudices, though!
I was wondering if there is much of a waiting list for delivery. The fact that there are so few Evoras on the road is evident from the "Was that you I spotted driving an Evora" threads on this website. If Lotus isn't selling many cars, I assume that delivery will be quite quick.
Good on you for choosing an 'S'. I suspect that this will be the future 'must-have' version.

Totally agree colour wise. I waited 10 weeks from order to deliveryI was wondering if there is much of a waiting list for delivery. Thanks for all your inputs. On the subject of colour choice, it seems everyone has an opinion (including all my family members!) Anyway deal now seems to be done: Evora S in Arctic silver with red leather and black 19" cast wheels (I couldnt justify paying 2.2k for diamond cut 20' wheels and then having them done black at even more cost! It is a bit crazy the extra cost of wheels that are 1'" bigger: its not as if there arent wheels on the car in the first place: its only a marginal cost!
So hopefully I will be joining the club in early Jan, and I cant wait.
Thanks again.
