GTR has giant killing pace. For a very heavy car it's relatively capable on the track (ie still rubbish).
Evora majors on feel, poise, balance and driver involvement.
The Evora S should have the best of both. Of course still not as rapid as the GTR but a genuine giant 'scarer' if not an outright killer.
I absolutely agree, an Elise R is plenty quick enough these days. But too much performance is always nice if you can get it.
I find it interesting that many people couple the GT-R and Evora in comparisons simply because of the similar price range. The truth is, they are so different and draw completely different buyers.Evora majors on feel, poise, balance and driver involvement.

A buyer will either lean to one extreme or the other. I highly doubt there's a buyer out there that was ever really split between the two.
It's like saying, "Wow, that salad come in a close second over the steak!" I really don't see the point in comparing the two. To do so is just silly.

Well I for one happen to like both.
And would happily own either.
I have owned a Nissan GTR in the past and I have owned several Loti.
What are you basing your black and white distinction on?
I agree with him, they are too different to really compare. I hope Lotus bring out a 450bhp Roadster Evora. I'd buy oneAnd would happily own either.
