The Evora S did sound quite rorty on 5th gear.

The 19"/20" alloys looked pretty darn good too.

Tried one out at Charterhall race track in Duns this April. Top Gear had paid for a newly laid section of the track so they could film the new Range Rover.
I liked the Evora but it didn't set me on fire like the Elise SC did the first time I drove it. I wouldn't buy an Evora lets put it like that. Fast enough but too refined for me.

Hi guys,

I wonder if you can help me (especially 'The Pits'). I am building a Caterham and want to paint it the same colour as the GT4 but I am finding it impossible to track down the colour used. I am looking to confirm it is Lotus Motorsport Green but what is the paint code?

On the GT4 web site there are loads of picks of the car in the green I am after. However the early shots from the Autosport show and test day at Snet seem to be a different darker colour. This is not the one I am after. I prefer the later colour on the car with two yellow stripes as shown in the Hethel test day etc.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

Sorry don't know the paint code but I'm told it was called 'indy green', that's the lighter green of the later cars. Great idea for a 7, it will look amazing. If you're really stuck, a guy called Scott Walker was helping me with my enquiries, he has factory contacts. You should be able to get his details from bell and colvil.

Hi, can you post up a picture of the exact car you'd like the code of?

I'll see if I can help smile

Another 5 star review, in the new CAR magazine. The best sports car he has ever driven, best steering in the world, best chassis etc etc. Better than a 911 apparently....

Evo said it was a bit slow in Car of the year, and it did not make the top 3

o a 911 won and also came 3rd lol

I find that most odd. Every magazine and online review of the Evora S has been outstanding, all agreeing Lotus have addressed the standard cars 'weaknesses' and the big step up in quality from the LE cars last year. I think one has even said that it was probably quicker point to point than a 911.

Now, the standard Evora, with its 'faults' was a runaway winner in EVO's pCOTY last year, as it was in CAR, Autocar etc. So how come it comes 7th in this years poll? Has the competetion really caught up and headed off into the distance in 12 months, despite the Evora S being a much improved car?

just depends on how many freebees the car companies give away. Porsche let their cars out free for a couple of monts 'extended road test' and suddenly their cars are top of the pile. Don't trunt the mags an inch...unless a Lotus wins of course.
