The tyre wear does seem much worse on an "S". My N/A has done about 6k road use on the (OE spec) rears and there is still 5+mm on them. (And before someone says it I don't drive like a granny). Running a car on 18/19s also significantly reduces the tyre bill.
Servicing can also be less. My main service at a well trusted indi using genuine parts was c£500 (routine c£300/£350) and from what I have seen some of the dealer network up North are a similar price. I believe someone quoted about this figure for Murrays.

Not wishing to sound like a broken record but I ditched the Pirelli's and got a full set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports for £690 from Oponeo. That is 19 and 20 inch wheels on a Evora S. Have done 5000 miles, 50% spirited and they look good for another 5000. Fortunately my job is flexible, I take my car to Silverstone which is an hour and a half away, take a loan car and go and work from Costa Coffee in Towcester for the day, and pick my car up in the evening. As long as I have internet and phone that's all I need. I still disagree on more regular servicing not being more of a hassle. I can't get to a dealership without a day off...

Cheers - never heard of Oponeo before! What sizes did you use on the rear - I can't see the 275/30/R20s from Michelin.. .I did 30k in a year in my 2013 n/a and it was great if you can live with the access and the amount of luggage space it has. Running costs were fine, fuel economy good (~30mpg not hanging about), servicing frequent but not extortionate, depreciation excellent (I lost about 4k on my car with that mileage with it starting out with 6k and 6 months old), rear tyres are a bit painful but get the rear camber stood up to less than 1 degree, keep on top of the tyre pressures and source them from outside the lotus network and it's ok, particularly helped by the fact that the fronts last forever.
It was an enjoyable car, people loved it, it's great to drive, sounds lovely, is soulful and makes sense with running costs, but ended up being too inconvenient for me. I needed space and towing ability so I swapped it for a Cayenne.

I did almost 30k in mine last year. Took it from 18-47k miles. Went through 3 sets of rears almost 2 sets of fronts and a clutch. All in cost me over £5,000 in maintenance.
Amazing car loved it and really didnt want to get rid of it but couldnt bring myself to take it close to 80k this year.
Will go back to an evora 400 or maybe a V6 exige as soon as I start doing less miles!
