Can somebody on this thread answer a serious question from a prospective buyer?

First, cards on the table. I lived with TVR's (no apology here) as every day transport for over 10 years (the pre AJP6 models with bulletproof engines) and loved them to bits. I therefore fully understand why some of us choose low production volume cars over mass produced (German) alternatives. I can also appreciate why others prefer to go the mass produced route. What I don't understand is why people would choose the "low volume" Evora route and then move the cars on (or try to!) early and at high depreciation. From what I have seen of the car, it seems to have adequate refinement to live with every day (no rattly four pot behind the seats), and more than enough performance for most of us. I can't see a down side! Yet there seems to be a lot on the second hand market considering how few have been sold new. What is it which makes people sell low mileage Evoras at a huge loss?
