Does the man not have any shame? I don't agree with the fans chants during the games as it's not showing support for their club/players but he can see he's hated yet will not quit. His record is appalling (only won 7 games in a year) and why aren't the useless owners stepping in? What an absurd situation.

If he leaves he won't get a couple of million in his wage packet, if he gets the sack he will.

That abuse he got last night was disgusting, any sympathy i had for Blackburns plight vanished last night.

Hope they get relegated.

I don't understand why any football manager would quit rather than wait to be sacked. As for Blackburn, I have limited sympathy. Sacking Allardyce was moronic, the new owners don't seem to have a clue.

He's putting self-interest before the good of the club.

The results show he's out of his depth but if he resigns no big pay-off. No one in business falls on their sword without a pay off so why should a football manager be expected to.

Quite frankly I hope the fans make his life miserable, then he's at least 'earned' his payoff for putting up with it.

Im not a Blackburn but my family are and I work 2 mins away from the club, its quite sad to see what the owners are doing to the club and its affecting everyone in the town.
They simply dont care about the club and have no idea how to run it.
Its not going to get much better until they sell it or run it as it should be and I cant see either happening anytime soon unfortunately.

I hope they get relegated too, but more because the owners deserve it. So are the owners waiting for him to walk so they don't have to pay out and he's waiting to be fired so he gets it?

Think so, heard Mark Hughes may have a go. Who on earth would want to take that job on?

Someone who wants a pay off when they fail?

I hope they go down as well.

Lets be honest, the Blackburn who were so adamant on making his life hell last night are nothing but a bunch of mong's, their team were playing in the biggest game of the season, and they focused all their energy on the manager rather than the team.

The Blackburn team playing last night may as well have been playing away, thats no home atmosphere! Good luck in the championship!!

They do care, they just don't know how to run a football club - they care on the basis that even if they see it solely as an investment, nobody invests with the intention of losing money.

As for Kean, mixed feelings tbh. Out of this depth? Yes. Does he deserve the vitriol he got last night? I don't think so - you can't heap all of the blame on one man if the 11 on the pitch don't show up.

OP - Steve Kean having no shame? What about the fans? They were/are disgraceful! The players needed support last night as it was a massive game.

Someone scored the other day, went to celebrate with Kean and he was booed for it, WTF?

Hope he stays and saves them. It MAYBE possible.

Many Blackburn fans regard Steve Kean to be out of his depth and not have the ability to turn the situation round. I don't think that is unreasonable.

Steve Kean makes statements about how he will improve the fortune of the team on the pitch. These have proved to be untrue. He's stated that he won't resign.

So where does that leave the fan? As I see it they have 2 options.

A) Cheer the team on in the belief that there motivational chants will be able to overcome the failures of the manager Steve Kean.

B) Do all that they can to encourage Steve Kean to leave his post so another manager can be appointed.

Option B doesn't seem unreasonable.

If Steve Kean really put the interests of Blackburn Rovers first he'd resign. If I was him I'd put up with the abuse knowing that resigning from this job (let's face it he's never going to manage a football team again) will cost be £100,000s.

As ever the ultimate losers are the Blackburn fans (and the Venky's who are going to see the value of the club collapse but at least they are partially responsible).

I don't even blame the players, they did OK under Big Sam so it points to Kean being the problem here.

Or option C) Do all that they can off the pitch to encourage Steve Kean to leave his post so another manager can be appointed whilst on the pitch they cheer the team on in the belief that there motivational chants will be able to overcome the failures of the manager Steve Kean.

The atmosphere last night looked toxic, god knows what it must have been like trying to play in it.

Yes I'm with you, C) is the correct option.

The fans were a disgrace as I said, but if Kean had an ounce of shame he'd walk.

The problem with C is that Steve Kean can ignore off pitch protests. The only place where fans can express their views to the manager is during a match.

I see Steve Kean as the bad guy (well the main one, the owners are fools for getting rid of Big Sam) in all this. The atmosphere is because Steve Kean continue to hang on to his pay cheque.

If the fans started to cheer and Steve Kean continues as the manager to you think the team is more likely to avoid the drop than if another manager were to take over?

In my opinion the only hope for Blackburn is to appoint a new manager.

The strange thing is, they aren't really getting hammered, they were unlucky not to beat Norwich when 3-1 up and they led Sunderland for 84 mins, if they'd won, they'd have another 5 points, they'd be 15th/16th or so. Thats the only 2 games I can remember, but there have been a few games they've lost by the odd goal, which could easily have been draws or wins.

It looks like there will be very little money for them to spend. I'm sure I read that they needed to find £10mil to pay off some creditors before a date in Jan.

I think Blackburn will go down, and likewise Bolton. Cahill looks to be off in January, and with their financial problems, I cant see them having much scope to strengthen, they've also had really bad luck with injuries.

Why would he walk?

Honestly confused by this, he must think he's doing what he can so why would he be shamed into leaving. I'd bet he puts in as much effort as anyone else managing at that level. Whether he is any good (or that Blackburn team is any good!) is another question but not sure what "shame" has got to so with it?

Can someone explain what he did to Sam Allardyce which riled up the fans so much before he'd even started? confused
