Fired from Huddersfield.

Shame.

Maybe we will see Jordan Rhodes in the prem sooner than we thought.......

I agree. Utter madness to sack him as I see it.

Class A toss piece.

Huddersfield fans that think they play like Barcelona are just as bad. I hope they drop down now.

I hear it was a combination of a few things.

1) He spoke out about the Leeds job and almost read his CV out on the radio
2) Backroom staff cost a lot with the likes of Terry Mac on board
3) Poor tactics
4) Falling out with players

As a geordie fan I really hope we get him on our backroom staff in the future or even as a manager as he was a top lad when he was at the Toon.

Thanks, I don't pay much attention to L1 since Saints have escaped.

re #3, tactics can't be that poor surely, given their league position?

Clarke was assistant at Norwich when Glen Roeder (now he was a complete A* toss piece) was there, so I can sort of understand Boydies comment. However, it looked like he was doing a decent job. Not really sure who they can get in that could do better with only 16 games left.

I think the stat being thrown about is they've had something like 13 draws in games when they were in a winning position...

Point taken.

I suppose they want promotion before Rhodes moves on too.

Just my opinion. Stemming from when we (Stevenage) played them at their place. Just conducted himself as a complete c*nt during and after the game.

Right, this is getting beyond a joke now. Morons on the outside looking in without the first idea of what has gone on or the ability of Lee Clark (which is very little imo)

I can take the club getting bad press and a bad name but when our owner, one the best things to ever happen to this club, starts taking flack then it starts to grate a bit

Lets put a few things right. Lee Clark has had an embarassment of riches during his time here, anything he has wanted (players, technology, flights to away games, massive backroom team, new training ground, enlarged scouting system, expensive overnight stays etc etc) and quite frankly he has failed at the job he was brought in to do. He has been here 40 months, not 12, so why are people acting like we've treated him badly. And when you consider he was touting himself for other jobs and allegedly went to meet with Leeds officials on Tuesday then the grade A bellend had it coming. Here is a great letter a town fan wrote which sums up how 95% of town fans felt about this:

One year and 11 months ago Huddersfield Town were 1-0 up at Home to Norwich City, courtesy of a corner from Anthony Pilkington. Since that moment Huddersfield have managed to progress 3 places, whilst Norwich have progressed 37 places and two divisions, in the process taking with them the man who provided the assist that day.

Since Lee Clark left this morning it seems the whole football world has had something to say on the matter, with almost 99% of those opinions from non-Huddersfield supporters claiming it was a disgraceful decision. Yet you'll find the majority of us who support the club not that surprised nor (too) disappointed.

Most people cannot look past our unbeaten run.

Our unbeaten run, as brilliant as it was, managed to cover up the fact that in Clark's 3 seasons we still look no closer to achieving our goal of promotion to the Championship. Clark had unbelievable backing from the chairman Dean Hoyle. Time after time he has been able to go out and sign practically any player he wanted. We've poached the best players from clubs around us in this league and managed to beat clubs from the Championship to a sought after player's signature, yet we still seem no closer.

The unbeaten run provided lots of complimentary column inches for the newspapers and for Lee Clark's CV, but every single Town fan out there would swap it for promotion. In fact the unbeaten run has probably kept Clark in the job longer than perhaps he should have been, as those of us who see the team week in week out know there are still problems that were there 3 seasons ago that still haven't been solved. 6-0 wins in front of the cameras are all fine and dandy but it's the gritty 1-0's where the players have to dig in and scrap that get you promoted. We still don't seem to have those in us.

We may be 4 points off an automatic spot but anyone there last night could see we are going backwards not forwards. Clark was allowed to sign 5 midfielders in the summer yet we spent 90 minutes pumping the ball up to Alan Lee in the hope something would fall for Jordan Rhodes.

Clark is talked about as an upcoming manager with huge potential and talent, yet managers seemingly talked about much less such as Gus Poyet, Paul Lambert, Simon Grayson and Darren Ferguson have managed to do what he hasn't on similar or smaller budgets.

For those castigating our chairman it will be a long long time before a first time manager is given the incredible backing, both in terms of finance and outright support that Dean gave Lee.

I'll also add that the football was absolutely terrible to watch

Our tactics on Tuesday night were like an amateur version of Stoke City 2 seasons ago. When you consider the investment then that simply isn't acceptable

Good to hear from the people who watch, BUT this late in the season, and with only the loan window available, who do you think can come in and get you over the line? I'd have thought Grayson could do a good job for you. He's got Leeds up and had them competitive in the Champ on a shoestring budget whilst losing good players along the way, but I see Warnock os quite a hot favourite...

Warnock is a legend in these parts and his record speaks for itself. He is the number one choice for most town fans

Grayson or Billy Davies please if Warnock doesn't come in

But it seems like it is all but announced officially that it will be Warnock

As for leaving it this late in the season. We could carry on as we were, finish in the play offs and attempt to win those with a manager that has 0 wins from 5 play off games. Or we can ditch him and bring someone in with a fantastic record of promotion and successful play off attempts

Our squad is flipping massive and filled with quality (for this level) in most positions. It just needs a motivator and an organiser to get us back on track (sounds daft when we're 4th I know)

Good luck, I know its a horrible, horrible league to be in. You have the stadium, fan base and it sounds like the off-the-field setup to be in the Championship.

P.S Thanks for Pilks. He has been awesome for us this season. 3rd highest scorer and he's got a good few assists. He's worth probably 3 times what we paid for him now already. I was a little skeptical when we signed him because he'd had a nasty injury, but watching him now, you'd never know. He's class... Perhaps maybe he could talk his old mate Rhodes into a move to Norfolk scratchchin

I notice Pilks seems to be in an out of the side. What is the reason for that? Is it still to do with easing him in after that awful awful injury

He is yet to score a worldy for you but it won't be long. Some of his goals for us were ridiculous
