I'm saddened by the amount of times this thread has gone off at a tangent. Now I'm a grammar nazi, but I don't want to see that kind of behaviour in this thread frown

yes Marvels of modern medicine. At least we have learned from the deaths of other sportsmen who have collapsed before, and we have well trained folks on the touch line at all times.

We live in an age where it is easy to forget just how truly outstanding medicine has become.

Interesting that one of the cardiac doctors jumped out of the crowd to help, reassuring to hear that he wasn't blocked by a jobsworth.

He's a very lucky man to be alive at all, but I'm guessing he'll never play professional football again, sadly...

Guy dies for almost an hour and a half, is brought back to life and people are arguing about lose vs. loose. Only on fking Pistonheads.

Staggering story, have to admit when it happened I was waiting for what I assumed would be the inevitable, absolutely amazed at what seems to have happened - a really good job done by everyone involved smile

On last night's news he said he and his brother alway sit in the same place, so they spoke to a steward they know who let him through.

Wayne Rooney has visited Fabrice Muamba in hospital.

"It's great, he can almost string a sentence together" said Fabrice.
