Really comes down to sheer volume of our chance creation. We may screw up up more than we put away but probability of one or two eventually going in also increases as a result.
Nunez by numbers wink

The irony being we'd be in a much higher position in the % of accurate shots table as shown in the article if we didn't have Nunez.... but lower in the league table as a result. wink

A bit of light relief. LFC have done another "corporate meeting" skit (for those who remember the one they did with Hendo in charge a couple of years back).

This is a good insight in to how Amorim might work with our current squad… seems both realistic and positive… and doesn’t require a wholesale change of personnel or tactics.

For those who like a few stats, I read this this morning. A deep dive into how his teams perform. The main negative is noted as his insistence on 3-4-3 but there's a lot of good info here too.

Interesting that the link I posted is much more positive about how our current squad could work in a 3-4-3.

Indeed. Ultimately it's just someone's opinion, innit?

Simone Inzaghi is a name now being touted as a shortlist possible, too.

We've some ground to make up on goal difference, too.

Arsenal had a purple patch scoring 21 in 5 games whilst only conceding 1, always going to be a challenge competing with that.

Fingers crossed for a high score against SU tomorrow though, they've averaged almost 3 conceded per game so would certainly hope to better that at Anfield.

City looking ominous. 4-1 up against Villa with 15 minutes left..

He is, but Villa have been very poor, and are missing a lot of first team players due to injury and suspension. No Watkins McGinn, Ramsey, Martinez, Cash etc. They even started Bailey and Torres on the bench as not match fit.

He is a brilliant player, one I’d love to play for us

He needs to play at 10 for England. Whenever he plays there for City, it's a masterclass. Out wide, he's anonymous, certainly for England.

Especially considering KDB and Haaland were not playing last night, he was a bit good..

Doesn't strike me as the kind of character we would have bought. Although now JK's going, that may well change of course (not that we're likely to get Foden, ever - just talking characters).

Thought this was worth mentioning with everyone waxing lyrical about Foden.

21 today (Foden 24) and despite missing almost an entire season with a horrendous injury has already played in 108 games for us.

Harvey has really blossomed this season. I worry about his lack of speed a bit, compared to others in the team - and he has certainly been sloppy enough to lead to us conceding a goal at times but easy to forget he's still young.

Yep, he's brilliant and underrated if anything.

If I could pick one City played it would be him.

I like him, but for me it would be Rodri every day of the week. The most complete midfielder in world football at the moment IMHO and a player City really struggle without.
