Antony got carried away in the euphoria of the move and made the wrong choice. It’s done. He just needs to be helped to get his head up and make better decisions in future and to start using his right foot. Shaw, Maguire, AWB have all progressed massively this season in their use of non-favoured feet so I’m certain that ETH is working on removing that limitation in our one-footed players.
He’s got his work cut out with DDG though who’s completely no-footed except for shot-stopping!

We’re still less than a year into the Ten Hag reign. Hopefully it will be a long and successful one. We’ll get some duds along the way, I’m pretty certain any of us could rattle off a dozen Fergie flops without too much effort. I think we should give players a chance to deliver, rather than writing them off after 8 months. If social media was a thing back in the day, I’m sure Vidic and Evra would have been chucked on the scrapheap along with a lot of others.
Let’s just go with the flow for a while and see what happens. It’s quite a fun journey to be on, even if it’s a rollercoaster at times.

Liverpool beat Bourmenouth 9-0 at Anfield earlier in the season and got 3 points. They lost 1-0 today at Bournemouth and got 0 points.
Liverpool beat us 7-0 at Anfield and got 3 points. They lost 2-1 at Old Trafford earlier in the season and got 0 points.
Big victories are good for headlines, but on their own do little to affect the season as a whole. That’s why I’m not that bothered by the thumping in the overall scheme of things. Liverpool are still in a real crisis and CL football ends for them this week, both for 2022/23 and quite possibly 2023/24.
