Steven Gerrard to gift Liverpool the Premier League though. Can you imagine the scenes? The headlines are already being written! Coutinho or Ings with a 94th minute strike, deflected off a City player to count as an OG, VAR review for offside which it clearly is but they rule it onside because, well, it's VAR. A man can dream.
Surely Gerrard comes off the bench to score the winner, finally winning the league for Liverpool?Must admit as an LFC man and boy and a north west chap, I loathe both the boo'ing and then the excuses for it. All it does is reinforce the stereotype.
There is no need for it and its absolutely about damn time people got over themselves. Its bad enough that Burnham swans about giving it the professional Woe-Are-Us-Lancastrian crap without Liverpool fans trying to outdo him.
We're bigger and better than that.

Exactly. Liverpool are a great club from a fantastic city. You really don’t need all that c***p. There is no need for it and its absolutely about damn time people got over themselves. I speak as a West Ham fan and yes also have our share of brain dead fans.

I just go back to what I said before - there's been a few incidents recently that have fuelled this and nothing was said. There is no need for it and its absolutely about damn time people got over themselves. There is so much sub-optimal behaviour at every football match that I can't get my knickers in a twist over this.

Establishment not kind to your city? Please explain how Liverpool has been disadvantaged compared to other cities.
Managed Decline.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-16...
You didn't think Liverpool had ever been treated badly or differently by the establishment.
I showed you it had.
You spending a weekend there doesn't change that. Glad you had a nice time though.
But as I said earlier, don't ever rely on a football crowd to do the right thing.

40 years ago? So it should be forgotten about? Hillsborough was in the 80's too. You think that's going to be forgotten about?

You showed me a 40 year old news article which has turned out to be wrong. As I see it Liverpool has been treated very well indeed, better than most other cities.
As I said Liverpool seems to be carrying a big collective chip on it’s shoulder. Your posts reiterate that.

You have to admit booing a choir with Sickle Cell Disease on probably one of the biggest day of their lives is pretty shameful though?
Is that right? Disgusting if so.I'm talking about booing a group of seriously ill people that, like Yidwann has said, were probably enjoying the biggest day of their lives representing their families, their communities and raising awareness of their life threatening illness.
They didn't have to boo them. Just don't sing the national anthem. Poor form.

I don't think anyone on here would defend anyone booing people with a chronic (ie long term) health condition. They probably had no idea. That doesn't excuse the booing. But anyone ignorant enough to blindly join in with booing is probably too ignorant to have taken notice they were people with a health condition.I'm talking about booing a group of seriously ill people that, like Yidwann has said, were probably enjoying the biggest day of their lives representing their families, their communities and raising awareness of their life threatening illness.

The article is not wrong. You just know nothing about the City, but think you do because you spent a weekend there.
Oh and the article is 11 years old. You can't even get that right so do you expect us to heed anything else you spout?
I shall not respond to you further.

Southampton aren't but Villa will? Both will be tough games and if City win the league, it will be because they've earnt it (football sense, not financial). Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
