Thought he was combusting! hehe

Excellent banter between the three in the studio biggrin

EDIT; Whilst we're here, brilliant ref tonight too. Agreed with every call.

Well just got back from a typical Upton Park night. Threw the kitchen sink at them in the first half and yet always picked the wrong final ball, could and should have been 2/3 up. And then, yet again for the first 15mins of the 2nds half we sat on the 18 yard box and made a poor Brum side look like Spain. Jesus fking christ evry time we go one up at home it happens.Even before VictorIcanonlydoonethingandthatsshootbecausei'magreedybdObinna got sent off I'd have settled for 1-1.(What did he do, didn't see the incident?)Picquonne who I thought 5 months ago was going to be a fans favourite is now a lazy, moaning, lazy, french, lazy lazy waste of space with worse body language than Cole. What are the chances of having 2 like that eh?the 2nd goal was literally the only time we got in their box in that half, we got lucky.Shame we don't get that luck in the league.
Brum made a lot of noise, but looked like thick tts when singing to Green "you let your country down" and then watching Foster do that rofl
We were working out on the train how many points we are likely to get in the remaining games, frown it won't be enough I'm afraid.

Well we've got Bridge, well chuffed with that.Have now watched the game on BBC Sky+ and it never stops amazing me how much slower the game looks on the box.Was odd with that Obinna incident. They only once showed the build up to it properly and that was during the coverage, in the studio they only showed the kick out?
No announcement on Grant, I assume he's staying, if that's the case rightly or wrongly credit to the board for sticking by him.
Now can we have Owen please, along with maybe Bentley and Keane.
Oh and Avram, can we please stop making Green hoof it up field all the time, it's not the WH way is it old son? To build from the keeper just once each game would be enough to start with, sometimes it's like watching an Allardyce team.

Bridge won`t get in the team! Upson is the new Roberto Carlos.

Spot on assessment SJC, final ball utter bilge. I lost count of the times Faubert (a professional international footballer apparently) tried and failed to kick the ball through the nearest defender. He also looks like he`s taken up McCarthys pie quota, legs like an offshore drilling platform. fk knows what happened at half time, Horlicks all round by way they played second half, should have been out of sight by half time and should have lost at 90 mins, classic typical WH.

Christ knows what`ll happen in the away leg.

rolleyes Grant not sacked again today.

Strange you say that about Faubert, I mentioned he had piled on the pounds (again)on here in December, and we both commented last night that he hadn't shifted them. If it wasn't for injuries he be on his way. The other players don't talk to hin on the pitch it seems, and he also is one of the games perpetual moaners.Upson right peg for a Sunday clogger is bad enough, for a Prem/International it is truly is shocking, the crowd were literally laughing when he used it.
Just one thing though, maybe, with the team in it's current position we're not quite allowing for the toll of injuries. At the moment it's Da Costa, Collinson,Dyer,Hitzlberger,Behrami? of the current crop that would prob be in the starting line up, and I was told on the box they said we've had eight/nine players out for a month or more this season.

I'm being worked mercilessly at the moment by my boss so couldn't make it to the match but it would be so good if we manage to get to the final - I'd love a trip to Wembley!

Looks like Grant will be gone after the Arsenal game, to be replaced by Martin O'Neill

Not sure how grant is going to prepare for the Arsenal game then??! Timing is incredible really.

Makes you wonder what happened in the board room on wed night, though it's likely they had decided he was going but took the last couple of days to speak to O'Neil.

Quite, you'd think they'd announce it straight after.

All they've done is potentially jeopardise the game today.

I'm assuming it's been "leaked" rather than announced?

According to Sky it's "Sky sources", so a leak. Similar to the City approach with Hughes 12 months ago and that didn't reflect well on the club or its owners.

I must say, considering Bradey has been "business women of the year" (or whatever) several times she doesn't appear decisive about this. Surely it's a case of keep schtum until it's a done deal then execute the decision?

Grant has lost one of his seven games in charge – a terrible record, no wonder he's being sacked confused

What's making it worse is the constant speculation it this is all true Grant seem to be on a match by match basis every game. It's unsettling to him and the players, and makes the board look like a bunch of s. FFS, either sack the poor sod or bring out a PROPER statement backing him completely and let the bloke get on with his fking job.

I would far rather have O'Neill as manager than Grant and people saying he only succeeds when there is plenty of money forget his successes at clubs like Leicester and even Wycombe where he had very few resources. My argument is with the board because they are making the club look foolish. What with the Tevez saga and the Icelandic fiasco it's we need a period of clear management and stability. Considering G&S and Bradey are meant to be such hard nosed business people they are behaving like amateurs. frown

Agree with you there RB, club doing it's best to look like a bunch of clowns again. My concern w/ MON is that he'll throw his toys out of the pram when he doesn't get his way... assuming that he's actually taking over.

Not at the game today - Dad's got my tickets.

As usual other results today go against us.

C'mon You Irons.

It's far cry from the days when I went religiously every other weekend to watch Greenwood's and then Lyall's teams and I couldn't even tell you who the chairman was without reading the front of the programme. Cerns family and the Pratt family just quietly got on with business for decades I seem to recollect, still I guess this bunch are doing their best to behave like the pratts. wink
