Yeah, I can’t work out how you’d get to the best part of £400m… but the number must be right as it will be in the annual financials somewhere.

Once you get beyond the he 1st team and Klopp, no one else will get paid silly money other than a few of the senior management.

Even roles that would be considered senior in normal businesses will get paid a fraction of the players… head of marketing, for example, might get £150-200/yr.

A lot of staff will be getting a lot less than £50k.

I know there’s stuff like NI, and pension contributions for the non players could be 5-10%, but still seems a lot.

And of the 2800 staff will mostly be made up of match day stadium temps surely?

I'd say swiss ramble is the gold standard of this type of thing.

14% employer NI plus 10% pension? that would add up to a lot

They won’t pay pension contributions for those on fixed term contracts (players and coaching staff), and only the most senior people will get double figure pension contributions… most will be on the minimum.

credit to Radec on Arsenal thread, spend on wages and transfers vs league performance

https://archive.ph/MKrlD

our wage bill is still v high - higher than United which is surprising

The UEFA spending rules will bite us soon (and many others)

Spending on wages, transfers and agents' fees is limited to 70% of revenue from 2025 (80% this year)

That seem highly suspect.

Salah will be decent percentage of that. Isn't his basic salary rumoured to be circa 400k a week?

Was going to say, there's no way we are paying out more in wages than United or Arsenal
What are you basing that on? Gut instinct?
Every other comparison I've ever seen.

A very interesting chat with Alex Inglethorpe about the Academy and how they bring on talent, from the High Performance channel and podcast.

So how long will they give it before they sack EtH? 48 hours?

The irony is that win may keep ETH in a job… which is probably what we’d all like on here hehe

Winning the cup didn't stop them sacking LVG.

That said, I hope they keep him a bit longer. hehe
