That's a bit negative Sye. He's shown he can't go more than a handful of games without getting a season ending injury.

Lamela was good, but once he got injured Son really came into his own. I don't think he'll make it in the PL league now, We could probably sell him to Man U though. Perhaps that is the big ITK secret

It's the new normal though. The market value of every player has shifted if you're a PL club buying.

Plus, as a club you have the money from the TV deal, so either you can spend it on club infrastructure (which is what you are doing), players, sit on the cash or the owners can take it. It's not like the fans are going to see the money, so I'd rather see it spent on the stadium or players (regardless of whether they are overpriced or not).

There's enough matches for both to be used, Lamela seemed to be the one dragging us through Europe and about the only player on the pitch that did anything when we lost 5-1 to Newcastle.
