Pickford aside, you’ve got to wonder how Carlo has managed to improve the performance levels across the squad. Davies filled in really well for Alan and then Seamus, Iwobi has a very good second half and Mina played out of his skin. Great to see and long may it continue.
Simple really Blue confidence breeds confidence, there are players out on the pitch playing without fearLeicester Loyal said:
Another good result, DCL proving me wrong again! With no European football there's no reason you can't be competing for the top 6 (I won't say top 4 just yet!).
Small steps and not getting carried away, but what I will most definitely say is, we are on the right track, and that will do for me. COYB TTmonkey said:
International break now, wonder how we will be affected...?
I think it’s come at just the right time for once. A chance to get injured players fit, reflect on our good form and calmly assess the goalkeeper position. In a tight game he will cost us points with his error strewn displays, but it’s a tough call and it will be fascinating to see how Carlo deals with it.What’s Pickford’s problem though. Over-confidence? Poor concentration? An in-built incapability to catch a simple ball? (surely basic stuff) ...
He always seems hard on himself body language-wise after them, so is he putting too much pressure on himself? A spell out of the team wouldn’t do him any harm but I couldn’t even name your no.2 so maybe he needs more competition from the bench ...
There’s nothing worse than playing a ball sport with someone who can’t catch. I fielded at cricket for years in a team with a wicketkeeper who dropped four balls out of six, it’s mentally painful to watch and slightly laughable ...

I'm really not sure. I don’t think it helps how worked up and angry he gets after he makes an error, that can't help him much? I do think he needs someone decent to push him, we really need to sign another keeper before the deadline tomorrow
